Hey, Guys! I just started harvesting my ladies from my new grow room: 1 big ass Strawberry Diesel, and 8 Vanilla Kush girls. This was the first big grow in this 9x6 room with windows for venting, grew under 2 600 watt HPS in a 6 site connected DWC system with an external rez. I'm thinking that I'll pull about 2 pounds dry weight off these bitches, but I know I can do better as i get used to this space. This is the first time I did a partial harvest: The SD finished first and while trimming her I noticed SPIDER MITES! Not many, like one or two per leaf, mainly because I dip my plants in Azamax before they go into flower. I checked my other ladies and discovered they also had mites, not on every fan leaf, but the leaves on which I saw mites there was one or two. I took most of the top colas and I'm letting the lower buds ripen another week or so for more amber trichome development. I think the mites were there for a while, so I'm not too worried that the population will blow up in a week's time (could be wrong) before I harvest the rest, let me know your opinions on this. Also, I have a good ozone generator and I plan to thoroughly clean my room after the final chop then ozone shock the SHIT out of my room. So, I have 2 questions for you guys:
1. Do you think the mites will explode in a week, should I chop now or wait?
2. Will high Ozone levels kill all the mites and their eggs so I can start clean the next time?
Thanks for your input
