What Time Is It? Adeventure Time!!!

I love AdventureTime. It's teaching kids such awesome stuff. It's like Samurai Jack was for the 90's and early 2000's.

They need to make more philosophically educational TV shows for kids. I love that they are teaching children the spirit of adventure and even deeper shit, in a world that has no room for adventure.

And the best part. They don't even know they are learning. By watching these situations go down, and being to young to experience them, it is giving them real world advice before they even get there.

And the kids are almost FORCED to relate to the single most main character, because he is the ONLY human in the entire land of Ooo.

I just watched an episode that taught kids about being in a band for music or a "band" of friends. And the different situations that will occur, and it ended by teaching kids to not lie, and be "Real".

How cool is that.

"Strength isn't your strength. Adorable cuteness is." "Well can I use it to control others?" "Um...Yeah sure?"

It's just layin knowledge on kids like crazy.

Awww. But man it's representing so much more. The ice king(Old guy they punch) is your friends who "Grow up" and are just worrying about "Capturing a princess" to keep in their house.

Fin likes princess Bubblegum. But he still has a life other than chasing tail. That's the lesson there.

I hate that show. Unless I totally missed the point. It just seemed like nonsensical BS.
Look up the episode where he puts on glasses and gets smart.

It's about tripping, he even mentions DMT in the episode. Secretly. But still the kids are hearing about it, and learning it's in their brains.

SUBLIMINALLY.

That's the magic of Adventure Time. Even when you don't understand the lesson, it's still there.

That's why I picked Fin as the first part of my name.
Fin is a good role model. He does good. Even if other people see it as bad, he knows he has to do what he knows is right. And I want to make sure I always stay good by me, while I'm adventuring.
And he had the spirit of adventure, was raised with a family of dogs, and lives in a land of monsters, and candy people. I mean, it's just a GREAT thing to have out in the world for kids. It's just a great thing to have out there, period.

Read this again. It's from the show.

This is telling kids, "Just because He/She/It is cute, doesn't mean your not going to get Used/Hurt in some way." And as a kid do you know that?? No, even as adults most males can't keep from mentally seeing girls as needing masculinity in between them and much of the world.
But some cute girls (or just people/animals in general) learn that lesson very early on. They may not be powerful in a fight, but when you and/or it seem(s) happy...Watch out.

Bro. Two things, conflicting as they are.

1. IT IS NOT THAT DEEP!
2. That isn't even deep!

It is nonsensical. Know what that means? There is nothing wrong with nonsensical stuff. Alice in Wonderland is nonsensical and it's the shit. But this is like a sad attempt at a modern day Alice in Wonderland story.

AND another badass thing about the show. They are trying to make "math cool", by literally REPLACING the word "cool", with the word "math".

Like they'll say. "Man, this is math."
And that's just going to make the word "Math" be more ok in the kids head. And they associate math/science with positive and progressive behavior/thinking in a lot of episodes. So that just does some good psychology all around for anyone watching it, and paying attention. Even if they don't get that whole point. As long as they correlate the behavior in their mind, then in the future it will have some small (to large) impact on their moral process.

I didn't say it was deep. I said it was TEACHING CHILDREN.

It's not non-nonsensical.
There are plenty of non-nonsensical cartoons, I have younger siblings. Have you seen Fanboy and Chum Chum? Almost Naked Animals?

Shit like that is nonsensical, IT DOESN'T TEACH SHIT. Adventure Time on the other hand, teaches kids about all kinds of new things, important things, and real life situations. Put into a format that a small uneducated person, with a 30 second attention span would pay attention to. Your seeing the top layer, but watch it as an adult, thinking about what children are seeing. Then look at what's REALLY happening, past the cartoon people. It's not meant for you, so of course it seems dumb.

Your older than the kids watching that show (I think...) so you can look deeper into the meanings behind what's being shown/said on the screen. Kids aren't reading into it so much. If the meaning isn't spelled out to them, all they see is a guy with a sword and a talking dog.
That show sucks anyways. It's all about regular show.
