oh i'm sure its both, but mostly the ph. 8.5 ph will fuck a plant up man. if it had a chance of living, it would probably be male because of the shock.

coco's easy because it's naturally ph balanced between 5.5 and 6.5. but since the plant prefers 5.8, you'll still want to ph to about 5.6 when you water it. then test the runoff from the watering to make sure.

remember coco's hard to overwater, so water it until you see some runoff under the bucket. if you happen to run across any limestone pellets, grab some, it stabilizes ph, but you dont need it, just helps

slime is a disease called pithium. coco naturally resists these diseases.

probably, did you get your coco and stuff? been waiting over a week for mine because they were out of stock. its finally coming tuesday. so tuesday ill take a pic of my set up. got my booster fans so i'm setting up my 400w hps tomorrow. over 500 bucks for all this shit, so i'mm ready to start making some bud tuesday

already have perlite. this is my mix for a 5 gallon bucket. i'll put all this in a big bin and mix it.....

2 coco bricks (2 gal each)
half a bag of perlite
4 cups of worm castings
2 cups bat guano
4 tbsp lime pellets

still hav my GH hydro nutes too, in case it looks hungry, then i'll use the Lucas formula. 6ml micro/9ml bloom

so ^^^^ mix is for how long? for entire veg stage? that is it? what is lime pellets??? what if i don't have guano to mix it up ?

for veg you only need....

coco
epsom salt
worm casting
dolomite lime (optional but does help)

for the first 2-3 weeks.....start with that for now.
