I have been tossing around the idea of picking up a game console.
Which unit is preferable, x-box or the playstation?
I really enjoy 1st person shooter games - any suggestions there?
Input greatly appreciated.

only disadvantage to xbox is you have to pay for online play, 3 months is 20 bucks so it's not much though.

ps3 disadvantages well they get hacked so don't give them your credit card, not as many players, not as many game

the xbox interface is so fresh and so clean, you power that shit on and it's like BOOM! IN YOUR FUCKING FACE!

you power on a ps3 and it plays a depressing ass jingle that makes you want to run to the closet and hang yourself.


get an xbox.

having a wii ps3 and a xbox,i would go with xbox.Yes the internet is free for the ps3 but thats the only thang the ps has going for it.And since you like first person shooting games like me you would be doing the right choice.Everything about xbox is better so i would be willing to pay 50 bucks a year.

i own a 360 but like these guys say you have to pay to play online..but i like the games better and the interface is bomb

get a great computer--download and play all the games you want---i race nascar heat league-online against a dozen people--also call of duty 4 --i download at least 2 games and 10 movies a week--if i dont like i just delete

Ps3 all day. Has just as many games (except for like the halo and gears series-I hate the gameplay on gears so much), free Internet and BLURAY player, less annoying mic spammers as well. Xbox had been hacked be4 so that shouldn't be a factor- my Sis' bf Just had 200$ in Microsoft points charged this week. Just use prepaid cards if your buying shit. Xbox overheats too, I have those fans and and they are loud as fuck, ps3 is whisper quiet. I haven't used my xbox in about a year now. Only plus to xbox IMO is the controller, feels better in the hand.

I'd go for the xbox360, but nobody at my house even plays it. I use it just to stream videos to my tv and my brother plays it when his friends are over. All his friends only play PC now, most have dropped their live subscription..

nahh he would be getting the 360 slim so you can't even say shit about overheating or being loud, all he has to do is click Y and install the game to the hard drive so whenever he puts the disc in to play the disc drive won't run keeping it quiet and keeping it from getting too hot.

Meh, I have both and the ONLY thing I like about the Xbox more than the PS3 is the controller and Xbox doesn't have that fucking Cinavia bullshit. But if you don't copy over movies, then yer fine, the controller is just much better for the Xbox. Otherwise, the ps3 is a more solid console, less glitchie!

I like the multiplayer of Call Of Duty games. Thats really the only one I've played. The XBOX controller is perfect for FPS though
