i think you're having trouble seeing what im saying, i did have to deal with that shit for a long time, people who fuck around and shoot someone in a rushed situation because they panic go to jail, and lose their shit,go ahead and say what im telling you is BS, but iassure you if the cops had rolled up and the kid was bleeding on the ground, you'd have never writtent his post because you'd still be down at the station getting asked why you shot the kid..."was it because he was mexican?" "you said he had a knife, but he said you hit him first and his friend says it too" all that bullshit nobody wants to deal with, so save the BS sad story, all i said was pulling a gun or even talking bout pulling a gun, isn't the correct course of action, i agreed with you he should be punished, as soon as they asked someone to buy alcohol they were panhandling in front of your store, call the cops then, get a criminal trespass against them, you let it progress to the point of potential violence and for that you are at fault, if i had some junky in front of my studio (my business...of my own) i would call the cops, not cuz i'm a pussy, not cuz I like cops, but because i don't need to deal with bullshit.

feel me?

EDIT: didnt see the quote wasn't mine, im a stoner, but the general message still stands..not trying to instigate a fight here...
Yeah but when you're in the process of calling the cops and someone attacks you...you're not gonna wanna be so friendly...and if you do own a business you know your rights...and all I'm saying is that this guy got in a knife fight a few weeks ago, he is trouble. I did the right thing...didn't attack him and called the cops...but what I'm saying is that I could have done a lot worse if he did come with a knife again...I'm not tryin to act like a tough guy...I was just ranting...but hey we all have our opinions...I have family working with me and Im saying that I wouldn't let anyone get close to them like that with those weapons...again.

1st of all you never knew the guy had the knife on him, this post is all ifs and buts.

If you were a tough guy you would not hide behind a gun in my opinion.

All this talk about the poor punk who coulda been shot is crazy, dont anybody watch or listen to the news, morgues are full of innocent citizens who waited on cops to come protect them.

I say drop their ass as soon as shit hits the fan, punks dont fight fair,if you wait for an eye for an eye type scenario its too late for you, punks go from agruing to straight out murder.

Watch your back no bro & put that 9 on your belt in a holster, you know the drill, most likely their not done with you,be prepared.
This guy knows what he's talkin about...if you're in a situation like that you gotta take action. It's easy to sit behind a computer and be righteous...but if you have to live thru that everyday you dont know who's gonna cause trouble or who's gonna kill you.

wanting someone to attemp to stab you so you could shoot them with the new gun daddy bought you.

Get a grip!
lol, that's kinda how I see it.

fizz I didn't say you should handle your shit with your fists, I said punk ass kids who think they're hard should. Although I do think it's good policy for everyone, I don't think it's the best course of action for a business owner...

But I don't think shooting someone is either. If you have a problem, call the cops, that's what they're for. Why wouldn't you call the cops? So it can escalade into something and you'll have an excuse to shoot someone? That's not right at all.

If you're being robbed, some guy comes in and pulls a gun on you, or someone just gets crazy out of nowhere, THEN you have no choice but to do what you have to.

But to sit there and not do anything to avoid a situation that you SEE building, then if you ask me you're inviting the trouble. It's actually a mind game people play in a lot of situations, Dr Eric Berne calls it "Now I've Got You, You Son of a Bitch" it's when you purposely let someone do something to put themselves in a situation just so you can fuck with them somehow.

You said the kids were out there for a while. Meaning you could have called the cops on them long ago. It only got as far as you LET it go.

1st of all if you read my first post I said the guy got in a knife fight 3 weeks before this happened so why not suspect him to have one this time...2nd of all I didnt hide behind a gun, I shoved his ass on the ground...I'm saying it's for my protection and I will use it when neccessary:peace:

End of the day mate, it aint your job to be policing the streets. You did the right thing by calling the cops and not shooting the lad.

If you have the need to shoot your new gun why not go to a range and be in a controlled environment?

Yeah and it's also my job to warn them before I called the cops. I was fair I told them like 4-5 times to leave or else I will call the cops. And when I called the cops one of them attacked me and tried to grab my face and pull my glasses off...did you not read that in my first post? I didnt try to shoot nobody. You can even ask caligrown...we know eachother and he can tell you I'm a chill laidback person. These same 20 year olds caused problems when they got in a knife fight...they were doin the same thing (asking people to buy alcohol for them). When they got the alcohol, got drunk, fought, cut eachother up, they told the cops that we sold 'em the booze...which was a lie and they threatened to shut down our business....so I'm not losing my livelyhood over some idiots that want to get drunk, fight and then blame shit on us

Yeah that's true bro, but end of the day...the police isnt gonna be standing outside my store all day to make sure everyone is in line. When they're not around I know I have rights...I wasnt gonna shoot him unless he had a weapon that he tried to attack me with...hence me shovin his ass on the ground...I'm just saying if he wanted to dance I can do the tango:peace:

lmao i told this crack head in front of my spot yesterday "ima call the cops if you don't leave" he flipped me off and proceeded to sit on the curb in front of the door, i called the cops, they told him to move, he left and sat in front of the store 3 places down, not my prob any more, i stayed inside the whole time, 5 mins later same cops came thru and told me he was arrested, for what? he sat there too long too, pan handling, and bothering people, the point myself and wikid are trying to show you is that you could have called the cops right away,
"hello, yea i have a guy in front of my store who was involved in a knife fight here a few weeks ago, i don't feel safe with him out there, can you have him leave"

poof problem gone, letting it escalate was a mistake.

Dude, I understand what you're saying, and I agree that it's not an easy situation to be in. But why let it go so far? You say you already know the kids trouble from the knife fight before. Why wouldn't you warn them once, to satisfy the rules, then call the cops and just wait for the cops to roll up?

But regardless of all that, you can only do what you feel you have to, and it's YOUR life, so I understand where you're coming from.

What I don't understand is why you would wish the kid had tried to stab you so you could shoot him. Why would you WISH for something like that? Most people I know who might find themselves in those situations THANK GOD that it doesn't go that far. Why would you WANT to have to kill a kid? I'm sorry, I know you're right, I'm not in your situation so I can't say, but I just CAN'T understand that.

That not what cctv is for? Make sure that what happens outside the store is controlled and you can concentrate with inside the store?

Does that not prove a point though? If you pushed him to the ground and he was the knife scrapper you said he would have came at you. By the sounds of it he is a lad who has a bit of a history (like most of us) looking to score some beers.

Just dont see the need to make a post about wishing you could have shot someone then put a peace sign at the end. Confuses me somewhat.

That's why I love the movie Clerks...and why are crack heads always wanting you to give them a ride? Me and my brothers met up once to have lunch, I was in my car they were in one of theirs. We saw this crack head begging for change, and it was getting cold and she was NOT dressed for the weather. So we gave her this extra blanket we had in one of the trunks. While we're talking to her, she asks for a ride. When she realizes we have two cars she asks "Well, why don't you all ride in that car, and I could just drive this one?"

Obviously the woman was outside her mind.

Yeah I like peace but when I dont get it by being nice to someone I choose violence:twisted:...Say what you wish but I've had to put up with this bullcrap for years and years and I've tried many ways to solve these problems, but some people dont get the point til you prove it...I'm sure if you were in my shoes you'd think differently...but til then I think we're just on different sides of the spectrum
