Got some seeds, Caramelicious.
Just planted one for trial run. Soil, MG potting, no nutes (now)
I sprouted it under a 60W incandecinet grow bulb. Ran it under that for a week, maybe a bit longer.
Then graduated to a 70W HPS. Also transplanted to a larger container. Plant spent about 3 weeks on that.
Now up to a 150W HPS. And once again, xplanted to a larger container (12 inch pot now)
This veg growth is 24/7. Automatic watering and shots of CO2 controlled by a PLC. That can be re-programed/adjusted over the internet. I travel for work, so this is a help.
At about 4 or 5 weeks, a couple of cuttings were taken for cloning. I have seen some pistils during this veg growth, so I feel good its a girl.
Grow room is now going under a transformation. A veg side and a Flowering side.
Plant is about 1.5-2 months old. Pics are from today.
The tube around the base is for watering. Water is gravity fed (only a 2.5gal jug) no chance for a huge flood while I'm gone. The watering ring has holes around the bottom. The flow out of it is pretty even. I had originally just slit the tube, and if the ends weren't perfectly level to each other, the lower one flowed, the other just dripped at best. This method works nice since the hole are small (heated a pin and melted through) ti restricts flow enough, that the tube ills and gravity/water pressure keeps it flowing evenly. It does have to be kinda level, but a LOT more room for error.
Yes the tin foil is about to go!
Pyrex Bake-a-round tubes are coming in the end of the week for a DIY cooltube. Then I can finish up the new veg area, and then work on the flowering side.
