Cool. There's been a little confusion on what's the 'best' ingredients to use on my part, but this one just happens to be part of my gardening tool belt already. The other alternative (without going to an online site) is a 50lb bag of pulverized, powdery stuff. It's incredibly cheap, but I almost have to wonder if the pellets might be better since they're slower release? I'm hoping to only cook for 30 days, though, so I'm also worried it might be too slow.I've never used it but don't see why it wouldn't work. Looking at the comments on Amazon it seems a lot of Earthbox growers use it. Earthboxes are kind of a quasi-hydroponic wick system. I would think if it stabilizes PH for them, it would work fine in regular pots.
