read that article, dude had 198 plants. He attracted attention to himself. And roll it up, sorry to hear about the raid. The dea didn't just know you had a grow going, they found out somehow, somebody dropped the dime on you. To the feds any cannabis in any amount in any form is illegal. I'm just surprised they put up the effort to roll on your 35. They never cease to amaze me

The pigs do whatever they please. These NTF (narcotics task force) are made up of local pigs, who know all about me because I am an outspoken leader of the MMJ community. They get together with 1 DEA shit, and that allows them to enforce Federal laws. So they go around terrorizing sick people who use marijuana.

Here's another thing they do regularly in San Diego. They go to a patient's home, barge in and hold everyone there at gunpoint while they steal all of the legal-number of plants, and any bud or pipes or whatever they want to steal. Then they leave, and you don't hear from them again. They don't have a warrant, and no charges are filed. You just got jacked by the pigs.

I've seen it happen with as few as 6 plants. I've heard of patients in wheel chairs being laughed at by the pigs when they steal the plants and medicine. Make no mistake, these pigs are sadistic, lying sacks of shit.

And I'm being polite.

now what we can all learn from this is, these things happen. So if you want to be able to medicate safely without scrutiny, keep your mouth shut. I have the most respect for activists laying their lively hood and safety on the line for this great medicine, but don't be surprised when they come knockin at your door.

LOL not sure if this counts but like 10 yrs ago before I got my card, I got pulled over by a CHP he told me I had the good stuff and took my oz of weed and asked me if he needed to call a drug dog. LOL OFC I said no and he let me go minus the bag of weed, he did let me keep my joints in my cig pack....I was soo fu**kn happy cuz right before he let me go he picked up a black trashbag with 1lb of shrooms wrapped in dirty clothes and was feeling it looking for weed...I almost pissed myself and thought I was busted for sure but he put the bag back down and told me to fix my tail lights.

DOH I ALMOST GOT BUSTED cuz my friend messed with radio wires without me realizing he took out the tail lights...check yer shit mann. HAHAH that was my first and last drug run......too fuckin easy to get busted and caught up and surely not worth it.

United States Patent 6,630,507 - Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants - Assignee: The United States of America

Submitted by Norm Roulet on Sun, 02/13/2011 - 03:45.
United States Patent 6,630,507
Hampson , et al. October 7, 2003
Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants - See at USPTO Here
Abstract

Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia. Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidoil, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses useful in the method of the present invention. A particular disclosed class of cannabinoids useful as neuroprotective antioxidants is formula (I) wherein the R group is independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH.sub.3, and COCH.sub.3. ##STR1##

dude had 120 plants outdoors. what did he think would happen? i know the feds are cracking down on the legal growers too but when you have that many in plain view they kind of have to get you first. just saying. i still feel bad for the guy.

I'd like to see the feds try this when Alabama passes their MMJ laws. These are the same people that fought a war over states rights. Southerns don't take to kindly to the federal government impeding on their rights.

Alabama is pretty conservative. they'll have a hell of a time passing that one. not saying it can't be done but i bet there are far more that oppose than support mmj.

Holy shit, how old are they?! Thats gotta be some record to have civil war vets still alive!

some of these responses dont make the best point.... like when people say "well their operation was so big what did you think was gonna happen".... well, they thought they would be shielded from prosecution if within guidlines set by local government. i would be confused.... if the state says you can grow 126 plants, and you grow 120, one would think they are ok.... so i dont understand why people make that statement....

also, the reader responses on the OPs link;
"The Truth about marijuana research

It is reasonable to question why, if marijuana advocates really believe that marijuana is an effective medicine do they not push for the valid research that follows the proper procedures to obtain FDA approval. The answer is obvious as Dr. Robert Dupont noted, “there is only one reason the advocates for “medical marijuana” do not use this new openness of the FDA to fulfill their hopes, and that is the difficulty they face in proving that smoked marijuana is an effective and safe way to treat any illness.” "

ummm, because the FDA, and various other government agencies continue to railroad any logical request for further testing.... lack of testing is what prevents marijuana from changing narcotics class from schedule I to schedule II. and it wont change until government allows these experiments to be conducted.....

NEXT?!

yeah, but everyone is missing the point. They are confiscating (civil forfeiture) money, property, etc, and it all goes back into the federal piggy bank to support the war on drugs. Effectively, everything they seize pays their own wages.

http://www.justice.gov/dea/programs/af.htm

1 question though, are they seizing these people's land and real estate too? I haven't been paying too much attention.

most of the stories i have recently read regarding medical growers speak of just plants/growing equip, computers, paperwork etc. being seized... no one was evicted or lost their vehicles. though some were jailed for various lengths... i am sure there are those cases though where all of that property was snatched up....

If it was my house was going to be seized, I'd burn it to the ground before they insured the property. Fuck them.
