Congrats on Fatherhood sir!! Also your plants are looking awesome! They're younger than mine but exactly how I want mine to start looking! About how far away have your lights been?

for a while i had em about a inch away. then i moved em a bit but i have a pretty small space and some really big bulbs for in there so theres not much room to move em

right now the big CFL is 11" and my box is 36" so that cuts out alot of space but they are totally worth having. im almost thinking my dresser is going to turn into a cab

im wondering about cloning right now, went out and picked up a humidity tray, some jiffy peat pellets, rooting powder and a precision exacto set for taking clones. I KNOW they are young for cloning. BUT with my limited space it really would be a plus to find out sex soon and with SCROG being my best option at the moment i can keep the "mother plants" in vegg. so cloning isnt ideal right now but if its a possibility to determine sex it would be worth it because i can ditch some plants and start training one. not sure if this makes sense or not but.....

I understand Matt! Im right there with ya, sitting here waiting on sex is so depressing! It would be so much easier just to Clone a known female plant and keep that going! Hopefully I will be able to Clone some in the Future and save space and time

well once the plants are a bit bigger its definatly an easier decision as cloning is not hard. just where there so young its tought to cut the plant up to try and clone and end up uinsuccessfull

If it makes you feel better man, the first time I ever cloned, I tried 12, and 10 made it. Picked up rooting powder and a 12 pack of jiffy pucks from Home Depot for about $12. I basically lollipoped the bottom few branches off my girls before they went into flower, stuck them in water for an hour while I went out to get the supplies, came back, cut the tips at a 45 deg angle and off they went into the powder, then the soaked pucks. I had my buddy grow them, seeing how I don't have a veg room, just 1 tent... But after about 10 days, they were transplanted straight into Happy Frog potting soil after he saw roots poking out and then they started growing mad.

Clones are a beautiful thing.

I plan on clones to sex mine as well! I'd feel a bit sketchy about cutting them so young also. Excited to see how it turns out to apply to mine :)

i put the tops i cut in jiffy peat pellets and a humidity dome with some cloning powder in hopes they will give me some roots so i can sex them

if it dosent work in avout a week i will have eligible nodes to take clones from but im hoping in a week i will be able to make a 12/12 room for the clones so i can figure out what sex all my plants are. the penny, nickel dime and quarter are just markers so i know wich ones are from wich pot.

Lol thanks man, my growing experience started last summer when i grew 4 plants from bagseed that all turned out to be female wich was sweet, i have learned alot since then and still learning.

i enjoy growing, maybe even more than smoking. and this forum makes it even better because i can discuss it along the way with people who are passionate about growing as well. i show my friends and most of them are like...meh........cool
