Civil disobedience was the reason Ron Paul counts MLK as one of his heros. Same reason he cites Rosa Parks and Ghandi.thank you for that info but Could you please specify specific views that are similar between the 2?

I think you over-estimate how much the American people care about policy.I voted for Ross Perot once... total waste of a vote.
Ron Paul is a wonderful idealist. But the American people enmass are not ready for the type of change he is proposing. In addition to that fact, the very people in positions of power are threatened by his declaration he is going to close entire government departments. He wants to make more changes than Barak Obama. But honestly, people are not ready for that much change.
So he is not really a valid candidate. Obama could win against him based on foreign policy alone.
Your post doesn't matter even though you are a douchebag in real life. <3Ron Paul won't be elected so does not matter if he is a racist in disguise. <3
The only excitement happening for ron paul's campaign is on pot forums...Your post doesn't matter even though you are a douchebag in real life. <3
You don't get to make that call. The people do through their vote not you on a pot forum.
But yea good thoughtful post.
Actually the votes of the citizens do not decide who gets to run for president or who becomes presidentYour post doesn't matter even though you are a douchebag in real life. <3

So are you implying that their major difference is bringing civil rights back towards the center of the spectrum of government control but from different ends/sides of the middle?martin luther kings asked the federal government to step in and enforce civil rights.
ron paul wants the federal government to get out of the way so that the injustices MLK fought against can continue.

what i am saying is that the injustices that occurred before implementation of civil rights was done by state and local governments. these are the people in which ron paul wants power to be invested. So are you implying that their major difference is bringing civil rights back towards the center of the spectrum of government control but from different ends/sides of the middle?
But do you not agree that they are both seeking the rights of the minority?what i am saying is that the injustices that occurred before implementation of civil rights was done by state and local governments. these are the people in which ron paul wants power to be invested.
dr. king called for intervention from the federal government to help bring these injustices to an end, something ron paul firmly objects to.
king and paul are 180 degrees opposite in philosophy, thus making this thread complete fail.
i would say that this concern is only in ron paul's peripheral vision. But do you not agree that they are both seeking the rights of the minority?
See, i see him fighting for a LOT of minorities.i would say that this concern is only in ron paul's peripheral vision.
Oh goodness! We're not going back to the CRA debate. Right?actions speak louder than words, although his own words n the civil rights act are pretty damning.
i wouldn't make it an issue if not for ron paul making it an issue.Oh goodness! We're not going back to the CRA debate. Right?
And he has stated his position on why he makes it an issue, believe it or noti wouldn't make it an issue if not for ron paul making it an issue.
You somehow have this idea that if you were against the CRA, then you must be against civil rights. Do i have this correct?i wouldn't make it an issue if not for ron paul making it an issue.
Is that the same constitution that originally proclaimed that someone who's black is actually only 3/5th of a person? lolRon Paul is a champion of Civil Rights and the Constitution, the two go hand and hand,
