its been about 20 hours now and still nothing ! im using zibra's method but i substituted the rhizotonic with some k-l-n from dynagro. I thought it would have the same effect... apparently not lol. any pointers?

20 hours isn't very long, I've waited a few days. Then again I just use plain old water.

While Zibra's method certainly does lead you to believe it should be almost instant, it can take a little while. Id give it a full 48 hours before getting concerned.

mine are nearly two days in and only 5/10 hav popped....it can take longer for some beans....add a little water to the ones that dont pop to spur them along...i like mine to have at least a centimeter tap root b4 i plant

I stuck my seeds right in dirt after soaking them overnight. It took them like 4-5 days to pop out of the soil being buried 1/2" down. 2/2 sprouted.

I dont think it is possible for a seed to pop in 6 hours.

I do another method i found on here, with my own twist. Take a mason jar and 2 paper towels..put beans in one towel, fold down to a 2x2" square, soak square. add 1 inch of water to mason jar, use 2nd paper towel to "hang" the square halfway in the jar, with the top hanging over the edge of the jar, use the top (without the middle, just the rim cap so it can all breathe) to hold the paper towel on. Let it sit for 72 hours in a dark place. When you open the square you will have seeds that have popped with roots sometimes over an inch long, making it easy to plant and quick to pop soil.

Ive waited as long as 7 days and gotten some beans popping lat late. Patience is always the key in this business.

In my limited experience, I decided to plant my seeds directly into damp potting soil, and out of 17 seeds, 16 popped above soil within 3-4 days from planting. I also germinated 5 seeds separate from the soil, and after moving to soil, only one survived. I really feel that the whole germination thing is just unnecessary, although alot of people will definitely disagree.

With my current grow I waited 2 days using a wet papertowl and plastic bag in a dark warm place. The seeds all cracked in the 24-36 hr range i waited for taproot to emerge befor i planted. time is nothing... i place seeds in ready coco pellets and take what i get. i toss seeds that dont taproot into the compost pile for my worms... farming worms is new to me but when i turned the soil (today) over a month after i tossed in the last batch of duds i found 2 pale sprouts and one had a 3 inch taproot. both are in new coco pellets and i kinda expect alot from them

wow at 2 weeks i think its a lost cause... im at 37 hours now... the seed has not sunk but it seems to be below the water... that might not make sense but w.e i tried lol

I've waited 10 days....but they all germinated.

Always take time frames provided by others with a grain of pepper
