This excerpt was taken from the Erowid Vaults on the monographical findings on Rivea Corymbosa seeds:
"In 1955, the Canadian psychiatrist Osmond conducted a series of experiments on himself. After taking 60 to 100 Rivea seeds he passed into a state of apathy and listlessness accompanied by increased visual sensitivity. After about 4 hours, there followed a period in which he had a relaxed feeling of well-being that lasted for some longer time. In contrast to these results, Kinross-Wright in 1958 published experiments performed on eight male volunteers who had taken doses of up to 125 seeds without any ascertainable effect in a single case."
This certainly demonstrates how certain batches of seeds plays a vital role on how it affects some test subjects. Based on the histological findings of Schultes it seems as though
Rivea Corymbosa was the main divination used in South America... exceeding the use of Peyote and Mushrooms. The only reason why its been masked because its use declined during the 19th Century due to Christian prosecution. This is a gem without a doubt!
