Perhaps. But stereotypes of every ethnicity do sometimes exist in real life. Grandpa for example. If you drew a cartoon of a crazy Russian, the resulting caricature would be him in all sense. I can't have certain friends over or he will get the vodka out and start shouting about the war again...

Maybe if I learn Polish, I will get a discount on all their tasty snacks.

And I'm not simply saying "get a job". I see lot of people with jobs that are nothing more than a warm body that shows up and does the least amount of work possible, not willing to take on extra responsibility or be held accountable for their own job performance. And these same people bitch about no advancement opprotunitities and never do get raises.

I don't need more government nor do I really care if there is less government. I'm funding my own retirement, I saved enough coins to fund my obligations if I should find myself out of work for upto 1 year. I pay my own medical insurance and and any co-pays. The point is.. I go to work everyday, I work hard at what I do and I always have an eye to the future in ways that I can better my lot in life.

Seems like there are just too many that are giving up now that life has gotten a little more difficult. The biggest problem is being poor and on welfare has become an acceptable lifestyle with no real social stigma attached any longer. I saw a bumper sticker a while back that said " Work Harder! Millions of People on Welfare are Depending on You!".

Buddy I go work everyday. I'm just not making any cash. I'm paying my bills but I ain't makin no money. fuk who said anything about living on welfare.
Glad for your sucess.
But work harder isn't always the answer.

What gets me here is were are talking on a growing site and people say life is shit and have no money.lol Now I get what your saying about working and just paying the bills. Work to live, live to work, there is no balance anymore. Ive had a couple of companies for a few years now and before this recession we made money, good money. Now Im lucky to pull £1000 a month from both. Now Ive got 16 employees who need paid every week/month and they are my priority. It would kill me to put them out a job. A couple of months last year I had to chuck my own money in to make ends meet.

Im ranting now. Anyway what Im trying to say is no matter how hard I work, the companies won't make anymore money. Fact is nobody is spending what they used to and everyone is chasing the same £ or $ note. If it weren't for my hobby on the side both my companies would cease to exist

im hearing you.Im 40yrs old,i left the UK,Liverpool,when i was 28yrs old...
Just as you say,its coke n smack,and pub culture is dieing a long drawn out death.....
I left at 28,without boring you,i ended up livin in Australia for 6yrs and now Thailand
for 7 yrs....
I dont know your personal position family wise or anything,i dont know how old you are
but if you have the ability to leave,i would leave right fucking now!
Best thing that i ever did,i still go back Liverpool once every cupla yrs,i love my city
i just cant afford to live there anymore...like you say,living anywhere nowadays aint cheap
..................except here....Ever been to Thailand?
Theres 1000s of us out here doing everything we can to not go back,,not because we hate our country,
its nice when its sunny which is about 11 days a year...but because we cant afford to live there..
I live cheap,my house is £2000 a year,that includes Everthing!!! water ,gas,electric.........
Its a pain in the arse getting visas n stuff,but consider my friend,or anyone else in the UK wishing they werent,
theres loads of us here,wishing all the unhappy ones get over here quick....

I just watched an Anthony Bourdain show called No Reservations and he went to the U.K/ Scotland right? Man the food looked so good.

You guys have so much fresh seafood, and other kinds of meat local to ya. It looked pretty awesome.

Yeah he ate that in the episode. He got a 'King Rib' which the Scot guy he was with laughed at him and said he shouldn't eat. And he got some Haggis too.

The Scottish guy said they don't know what kind of meat they put in the King Rib.

King Rib is pork. Pretty fucking tasty. Haggis is just the ofal from any animal now with flavouring. It used to be a sheep stomach and blah blah blah. lol
