Hmmm....thinking about a late night session with the ladies. Going to move/adjust my tops to spread em out a bit more one last time before the stems get too hard on me. ALso was thinking about trimming some lower growth and/or a few fan leaves....thinking about it. I need to do some more reading. Hearing lots of conflicting thoughts on the subject (surprise, surprise) of trimming fan leaves. Some say never do it, its the plants food factory, let them fall naturally or with a light tug. Some say chop away, it'll increase bud production. Some say trim fan leaves like clone fan leaves, cutting them in half. Ugh....maybe ill just tie (bondage :)) and tuck! Either way you'll all stay updated!

are you going to lollipop them or just prune a bit? imho either is fine as long as you do it early. you really don't want to be trimming shit in the middle of flowering

Yeah, I read to do it early. I want to just give a tiny trim. Snip some of the small budsites way low that I know won't see enough light throughout the.process of flowering, so energy will be used towards tops. And as far as fan leaves go. I just want some out of the way that are.covering nice budsites! Again, I don't wanna go crazy...just a few cuts

Also, I have active yeast, sugar, warm water and a 2 litre bottle. Thinking I may make a little co2 jobby. Would it be beneficial? I know it won't hurt....

i made tiny holes in cover and just set in grow room, they say to get some tubing to attach to you fan if you have one

Hi Loyalty.

I've been running 2 two-litre pop bottles with sugar and yeast. I add a little sugar every 24-48 hours. (I believe it was in Gastanker's grow journal there is a great link about calculating the CO2 requirements for your area. I can't find it right now but maybe GT has it saved.

Since we're running the same area, I'll let you know that our area came out to 100 grams of sugar ever 24 hours would produce an ample source of CO2. I usually end up adding 200 grams every 48 hours or so..

The only other thing you might want to keep in mind is to change the water every two weeks. If things are anaerobic (lack of Oxygent) in the pop bottle (I think it is as mine smells almost like fermenting beer) the yeast produces alcohol and the solution becomes too acidic for the yeast and they are killed off. Yeast and Sugar in the presence of O2 produce Water and CO2 .

To help with this, I started off with two bottles half-full and then every now and then I add water to bring the pH back up a bit.

Nice tip: (get a funnel for adding the sugar, yeast and water)

I haven't run the tubing at all.. I question the reason for this? I just placed both of my bottles next to my fan. Anyone know the reason for the tubing?

Tubing is useful cuz u can stick it in a cup of water and see if it's bubbling still. My bottle wouldn't last a day so I gave up on it

hey those lower branches are ideal for clones. i know you took yours already but i was just at the hydro store and they said that the lower branches root easier for some reason
