Just want to say thanks for your help and sticky. I have 3 buckets started and it's alot of fun. I don't post much in this sub forum but do a lot of reading here. I like the cleanliness,growth and ease of DWC so far.Outside of rez changes, top offs beat watering by the gallon in the kitchen sink any day. Why buy soil and put Nutes in it when you can just add nutes to free water(well kinda). I have big plans. LOL! I want to vegg in or start in 3 gallon buckets in our vegg tent ant move them to the water coolers to the flower room for a perputual grow like we have going in soil now. I need to cull some strains and run 6-8 buckets in flower of 2 of our best strains to perfection.
Silly question : Using tap water, do I count the solids out of the tap in my nutrient count I'm trying to achieve or should they be added to that total amount. Hope I explained it right? Example: tap 200 TDS : I want 500 parts of nutes, so I only mix 300 ppms for a toatal of 500 ppms or a total of 700 ppms ?

Wimb I think I read your thread about your misfortune, can't remember how or where though. Truly a bummer. Don't know how I would be able to handle not being able pop a seed. How long might you be with out a grow." Not for ever" would be a good enough ansewr for me with out any details or no ansewr is fine too.
