All i'm saying is I think it would be stupid for me to post pictures of a huge grow operation, medical or not, if I have quantities that are over my limit and could potentially be charged with a felony. I don't give a fuck what "they've" state in regards to medical users, IM not showing my face after I have gathered and laid all the evidence to convict me out in picture format on riu.

A bunch of us went camping for a weekend and people came and went visiting as they pleased. Im sure there was some grow talk going on but more of a BBQ and coors light can crushing meet and greet for most there. Don't get me wrong there were a few funny smelling cigarettes going around but there always is when a campfire is going...right?

Im thinking that boneheadbob's example shows a perfectly good way to get in trouble. I and everyone else that I met at the BBQ were med patients that weren't looking to buy or sell anything. Just have a chillaxing trip to the lake and talk story about how is was, how it is and how it should be.

Because many of us live in reality where LEO could care less about some personal 6-12 plant grow. Speaking about state legal card holders. cannot speak for code of conduct for illegal growers, protect ya neck!

If there were cops at the BBQ they were smoking like a freight train! Anyone not smoking at the BBQ would have stood out like a pair of shorts on a nude beach.
Cops can't smoke weed. On or off duty!
Everyone I talked too about weed at the BBQ, was stoned off their ass and any info collected would be worthless.

P.S. All the drama was from someone that didn't make it to the BBQ, and they created a sh*t storm about it to get attention! That person is still starting sh*t storms all over RUI!

I'm gonna put out a jar at the BBQ & all money will go directly to their families. Hopefully FDD can be there & collect it himself!

Even then, they use informants for that... If they KNOW a house is being used to slang drugs.. before they get doped up themselves they need PROOF that it is worth doing so, IE. A Lot of Money, Drugs. Involved.. No LEO will be sniffing anything until they know that, Because many Dealers, are LITTLE TIME dealers, who may have no more than a 1/2 oz. No FED or DEA, LEO agent is going to be getting doped up to endup busting someone w/ 1/2 oz.

I think they are smarter than that, this is 2012. they probably have a manual on how they do it.. But it is not as Simple as , Walking in, getting doped up and hoping. They are more professional than that, & usually know what they are doing when investigating someone..
I have had LEO tell me, any fed or dea would laugh if they busted some home grow intended for personal use.. they want houses with 1k+ plants, Every room packed.

An informant is NOT a COP(usually, ->), they have no powers to arrest, cannot carry a gun. They are normal people like us being used by the cops, usually drug addicts that have been busted & took a "deal"

I know it's not a badged actual cop.

But it's just as bad as having a cop there in my opinion.
And should be treated like any cop that walked in with his badge out.

My 2 cents on this issue about the BBQ....
I was at the BBQ with all the others. I met FDD, KMK and KMK's gf there. I didn't talk much to FDD, and talked to KMK a bit more. If I remember correctly those two were STONED OUT OF THEIR GOURD on canna cookies. They said after the fact that on the BBQ thread that they ate canna cookies on the way to the BBQ, and wished they had NOT eaten those cookies because they were TOO FUCKED UP at the BBQ and had a hard time socializing. I could see FDD becoming more social as the BBQ went on, but he did appear to be taking everything in, seeing how the crowd was before partaking in the smoking rings. He seemed to be a bit "suspicious" of others at first, he even said he expected there to be "law enforcement of some sort there" well before the BBQ happened on the the BBQ thread.
So I think FDD was TOO stoned to be giving up info there that would get him in trouble with the FBI. The mailing across state lines seems more the case here if the FBI is involved. I wish him and especially his family the best of luck, seems like they're getting a lot of support here, I hope it keeps up.
I think we users/growers in Ca are becoming a bit to comfortable in the casual trade of medicine with-in our state. As more and more of us become users /growers, more and more greed will set in. Why sell our left over meds to the dispensaries here in Ca at $80 an Oz when the growers can get $300 an Oz across state lines?(I'm sure larger amounts MAY HAVE BEEN involved, but I hope you get my point).

Some cops are just dopers themselves though . Ive known at least two who had bad coke habits for years , one finally got tossed in the joint for it and he was dealing coke on the oz level for years before he got pinched for it .
