Without individual States Rights it's more of a "American Federal Republic" than the United States tho.Sorry don't trust some states with having "states rights" .... I guess thats why we are the UNITED STATES...
the states do have individual rights as outlined in the tenth amendment.Without individual States Rights it's more of a "American Federal Republic" than the United States tho.

cannabis was made illegal on a federal level, and slowly states are disagreeing.Explain the State and Federal divide on MMJ.
Why was it made illegal in the first place? The Founding Fathers passed a law stating you HAD to grow it during wartime...so where in the Constitution does it give the Federal Govt authority over this? The 10th specifically states that individual states have the right to draft laws on anything not granted to the Federal Govt by the Constitution.cannabis was made illegal on a federal level, and slowly states are disagreeing.
if enough states eventually adopt MMJ laws, the federal law will be soon to follow (but not necessarily).

pretty much. if even one of these cases is won, the jig is up for the feds. so they stretch the constitution to say that growing 6 plants in your closet for personal consumption violates the interstate commerce clause...i.e. The state may make any law it wishes, but the federals can make any law they wish. Federal laws trump state laws.
