When was the last time a religious person persecuted you? Are you followed around and hounded by them? FFS you sure seem to have a chip on your shoulder for people believing in an invisible deity...

Agreed. Conservative for some reason has to come with religious ties. The religious absolutely fail to understand the concept of religious freedom and freedom from religion.
This is because morality comes from an external force with these people. They don't actually have a conscious, they don't need one, they have a "God" to tell them what is good. It also comes built in with the desire for other people to stop having a conscious and submit to worshiping a deity that can decide fate for them.

i was punished every day in grade school when i refused to pledge allegiance due to the 'under god' part being in there.

i could go on and on about ways people other than myself have faced "persecution" due to the pervasive influence of religion on society.

Actual persecution FROM THE INTERNET?? Seriously dude? LOL!!!

The 9th district is the most liberal court in the nation. Their opinions are overturned something like 80% of the time... And likely it will be in this case as well.

Here is why. Marriage is not a right as set forth in the bill of rights. It is a PRIVILEDGE granted by the state. How do I know this? Because you are issued a marriage 'License'.

Since marriage is not a right, it cannot be argued that it is being taken away. So, eventually, like most of the other rulings from the nutty 9th, it will be overturned in favor of the PEOPLE...

show me where in the bill of rights it mentions ice cream is granted.

since it isn't, ice cream is meant for straight people, and gays can't have it.

fact is, the government issues marriage licenses for any number of reasons, legal and otherwise. this isn't going to end anytime soon.

denying this license to one group of citizens over another is a clear violation of the 14th amendment, and anyone who can fucking read can see that.

the fallacy in your argument is that it is based in fantasy land and partisan talking points.

nope. 14th amendment is pretty clear.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

14th amendment clearly cock blocks the 10th here.
