I never liked rap. Several years ago I found out that some hip-hop on the other hand can be very profound, lyrically. The stuff I speak of is not what you hear in the media.

Thanks for that ... it was interesting. I don't like it (for purely subjective reasons) but I have no impulse to call it bad music. It puts me in mind of a hybrid of rap and blues, somehow.

I have not called anything unworthy or judged it except to point out the irony of calling versification "singing". I will say that I truly, profoundly dislike rap. However I will not commit the error of calling it bad. That would elevate my opinion above the personal and subjective, which i didn't and do not do.
