Please show me your source???? Common law marriage is 7 years! I went round and round with my HR just to get labeled anti-gay, when simply I want a straight hand....umm... According to Iowa state health laws, all you need is an affidavit of common law marriage and you can get the same benefits as everyone else. I don't know where you got the idea that just because you're gay you have "special priviledges".
OK that sounded wrong! I just want a fair shake! Please show me your source???? Common law marriage is 7 years! I went round and round with my HR just to get labeled anti-gay, when simply I want a straight hand....
Nevermind, I'm just projecting. I am the one who hates that a socially engineered class of workers has been indoctrinated, there I said it. I have grown out of it.Umm please explain your point!
[h=3]Common-Law Marriage in Iowa:[/h]Yes.OK that sounded wrong! I just want a fair shake!
As stated to me by my HR... Same sex "partners" who share a common lease, mortgage or financial accounts can claim their same sex partner on health insurance. Opposite sex partners regardless of common law can not!
OK.... So me and my GF can claim each other on taxes..... O YEPPY just what I want, might as well marry her and take it in the butt tax wise!!!! No where does anything you posted show anything about health insurance!Common-Law Marriage in Iowa:
Yes.
Under Iowa Code for Revenue and Finance1, common law marriage in Iowa is legal for the purposes of filing income taxes (Administrative Rule, Chapter 39 [701]) and property tax exemptions (Administrative Rule, Chapter 73 [701]).
Iowans may claim Common Law Marriage status if:
- a present intent of both parties freely given to become married exists
- both parties publicly declare themselves as common law married
- the parties have lived together continuously and consummated the marriage (no special time limit, however)
- both parties are legally capable of entering into a marriage relationship; that is, both are of legal age and neither is legally married to someone else at the time.
And I bet an ever increasing amount never worked a day in their lives.I just heard a scary fact today...
1 in 5 Americans get over 30,000 in government assistance yearly.
So, 20% of the people in America get almost as much as Uncle Buck makes in government cheese...
We have welfare dependancy here. It has been growing over the decades. Financially it is starting to strangle us along with all the other welfare programs. And I bet an ever increasing amount never worked a day in their lives.
Its called "Entitlement Culture", wait a couple of generations and it becomes "Welfare Dependency"...enjoy it, cos its where your country is headed.
That's right take the easy way out, point your finger at the poor and working poor.We have welfare dependancy here. It has been growing over the decades. Financially it is starting to strangle us along with all the other welfare programs.
What is the cause? That's right take the easy way out, point your finger at the poor and working poor.
Why not address the real problem? I'll tell you why, because the cause of the problem tears apart your trickle down economic bullshit. Do you seriously believe that people enjoy bring poor?
Typical of right wingers, point at the affect yet ignore the cause
point your finger at the poor and working poor? lol when people are too fucking LAZY to get out and get a job they dont deserve assistance ! its not always a case of people enjoying being poor, alot of them made the choice to be lazy and collect... Fuck them ! Big Gov't does play into it - they need to tighten things up big time and stop giving money away to these fools !That's right take the easy way out, point your finger at the poor and working poor.

Playing class warfare are ya? I NEVER blamed the rich, not one time did I? You just assume that because my opinion differs from yours that Im for a "nanny state" or whatever bullshit bumper sticker slogan you prefer. What is the cause?
The government has over spent 16 trillion dollars and you are going to blame it on the rich... Right?
1 in 5 Americans are getting over 30,000 per year in government benefits and we just are not giving enough Right?
We need to confiscate all the profits from the wealthy because obviously they dont deserve them. Then political bureaucrats will dole out the cash in donation paybacks like Soylndra and everything will be A-Ok...
What do you not understand about "WORKING poor"....They are WORKING man, how are they lazy?point your finger at the poor and working poor? lol when people are too fucking LAZY to get out and get a job they dont deserve assistance ! its not always a case of people enjoying being poor, alot of them made the choice to be lazy and collect... They who? Corporate profits are paid out in dividends and used to grow the company. Profits are up but the percentage of profits are not up. That is due to globalization.
My problem is that as their profits have risen those of the average person have been stagnant. They are taking more and more of the pie and not letting it "trickle down", the whole trickle down theory does not work. If it did average salaries would be increasing as corporate profits rose. They are not.
I hardly need you to explain business and profits. I own a business, i employ people. I guarantee I pump more $ into the economy than you do, so save the bullshit talking points for someone else thats gullible enough to buy that bullshit. They who? Corporate profits are paid out in dividends and used to grow the company. Profits are up but the percentage of profits are not up. That is due to globalization.
America is an upwardly mobile country. You work at a job until you get good at it and you look for another job. You say pay has been stagnant and at the same job it should be. The fry guy at McDonalds should not expect to make 80,000 a year after he is there for 20 years. He is going to do that by working his way up to regional manager.
Your assumption that corporations dont pay enough implies that you want to force them to pay more somehow.
My point on your now disclosed issue is that government regulation costs alot of overheard per employee. And that is money that is not "trickling down" to that employee. The government keeps tacking more and more expenses on the back side. Once Obamacare kicks in all employers are going to be required to provide healthcare. That is just another huge cost. Dont expect wages to rise any time soon.
