yes they were way too young for Neem oil I hear... + not not a big fan of hydrogen peroxide... I grow organic But really until they are at least 6'' tall you should do absolutely nothing else than water IMO... you won't have spider mites problem when they are this young

It was Fungus Gnats, and there was a problem.... like 20-30 of the bastards flying around.... lol

Now there's very few. I also put perlite on the top of the soil to help stop the gnats.

I also give them Voodoo juice, which is just beneficial bacteria....

Good that you got them in their new home and they should be able to breath better without the domes now, but do you think that maybe you've got too much light going on? That's a lot of panels for those little ladies at this stage IMHO. Especially if those panels have UV/IR. Just a thought. Good Luck and I'm subbed.

When it comes to LED's I don't think theres too much light, the problem would be bleaching from the panels being too close but I think Beef's got it under control. Hell, I would love to shove 500w of true LED wattage in a small tent/area. My 180w will have to do until next harvest, lol.

Nah your lights are fine..........Yeah no neem oil and absolutely no hydrogen peroxide(kills all bacteria/beneficial included)...
Smart move with the perlite....worked for me for years....you won't kill them all/but it works...
If you want my opinion on the yellowing(probably not..lol), just KISS it, no ferts/no pesticide/no addatives/no sprays(water included)for a couple of days...let them recover(leave them alone--HA).. And let your girls dry out in between waterings....just a thought

Sorry if this was already mentioned, but the soil might be too much when the seedlings are that small. Maybe wait til they are a little bigger to put into the soil?

Dish soap is a easy fix for the gnats, it also helps to water the soil more evenly. Perlite or sand on top helps but Dish soap easier.

Hydrogen peroxide is pretty useful though isnt it? If it is, I wouldn't let an "organic" mindset stop you from using it, that's just a little bit silly. It's simply a water molecule with an extra oxygen atom on it, which makes it a great source of oxygen and a very safe antibacterial liquid. Saying that you don't want to use H2O2 because you try to keep it organic is like saying you don't want to use H2O because it's a chemical. Organic advocates... they are rarely individuals of science.

Anyway, that little rant aside, I'm interested to see what will happen here. I'm looking to do a stealth grow in a roof space but I'm still very much undecided on the right type of light to buy. The pricing on some of these LED lights is ridiculous though, comparing it with the induction and up and coming plasma lighting that is/will soon be available. Being in NZ means I only have HID lighting available to me without paying for intl shipping, but if I see consistently promising results with these LED's I will definitely get one. I shall keep reading on my quest towards bountiful green.

I guess int'l shipping is expensive, but everyone says LED's are a hole in the wallet. They are at first, but wait....I don't have to run a huge inline or worry about my house burning down, and I'm running less power than my computer, lol.

If you were in Hydro I would say to use mosquito dunks, they are made of beneficial bacteria that kills fungus knats, keep one of em' in my res and haven't spotted any. I'm not sure if you could break one of them up in water and water your soil with it.

Yeah you can use dunks with soil, at least in organics. I get them bad sometimes so I always throw one in when I'm making water. I do a lot of mountain biking, so they're always hitchin a ride with me. But dunks are more preventative than a quick solution IMHO.

Beef if they are still around and you ain't flowering anything just get a Hot Spot strip and nuke those bastards. Can you get those in Canuckistan?

Keep the grow going beef! I'm very interested in seeing what your plants and those lights can do. My thread may be dead but I will have more shit on the way soon. Just make sure that you are watching those plants. Sometimes I sit blindfolded in my plant room and listen to music in my spare time. Both classical and easy Blues/Jazz along with your own breathing make for quite a treat for the plants and myself. Any way enough of my scientifically proven hippy bullshit.
