hmmmmm......no room for it in there, probably. perhaps a seedling mat instead. the difference in temp is what the issue is. fix that

80% RH.........that's a lotta rice..........decrease your temperature gradient. cold, wet plants = mold.

im using a rubbermaid tote so i dont think a dehumidifier is going happen
That's your central problem right there. A grow space needs to interact with the space around it, either via elaborate ducting and blowers, or through exposure. If the room the tote was in was low humidity, and you had sufficient circulation, you wouldn't be seeing what you're seeing.

the room that the tote is in has high humidity too. my box has good air circulation. the humidity is fine when the lights are on but when they are off it jumps up, im still keeping an eye on it with the lights off and the humidity is 60% now, i added a small container of rice just to try it out so i dont know if that actually is what brouight it down or maybe it still needs to sit awhile to adjust. anymore suggestions???

agreed^

stick another one on the outtake, the more air exchange you have the better, providing the air outside the box isn't just as humid, it will help a great deal :)

i tried putting in a container of damp rid just to see if it works and my humidity is at 55%, is this acceptable when flowering??? i have 1 standard size pc fan and 1 slightly larger pc fan being used for intake, and then i have 1 standard size pc fan for an exhaust. would switching an intake fan into an exhaust fan so i have 2 exhaust fans and only 1 intake help?
remember i am growing in a single rubbermaid tote so i cant use a dehumidifier or an heater to help...does anyone else know of ways to bring down the humidity???

Sounds like you solved your problem. For the time being anyway. Damp rid hmmm? Who knew? 55rh is ideal for flowering and even better for drying.

That's part of your problem, your intake/exhaust set up is jacked, more exhaust less intake and something in the box to help circulate air, not blow the Hell out of your plants, but move some air lightly fluttering leaves. Stay high

so i actually need more exhuast than i do intake? i heard it was the other way around, can that actually help my humidity problem tho?
