Google thinks my name is Tommy Yomama, and I live at 123 anystreet, yourtown usa and my numba is 867-5309eeeeeeeiiiiinnnnne. So I couldn't care less if they spy on Yomama-san.

I read Google's new policy and I don't have any real problems with it. I do SEO and web design for a living, so I pay close attention to what Google does. All the data being collected is largely vague marketing stats that they provide to people who use Adwords. They also collect crash reports, but imagine that stuff is even more vague. What I do like is how Google makes a big deal and reports anytime any government requests access to their stuff. They also report anytime a government asks them to remove something. http://www.google.com/transparencyreport/governmentrequests/

Overall, Google has a pretty good track record. The last time I was upset at Google was when they first launched Buzz. God I hated Buzz. Google Plus on the other hand, much better. I like the privacy options in Plus over Facebook. Now Facebook, that's a company I'm not so trusting of anymore.

what's google going to do with my searches?
if the police/feds want every little thing you've typed in online, they can get it easy.

not that it matters, look at casey anthony. googled a whole bunch of incriminating shit and still walked.

Except they know your IP and as a result everything else about you that's important personally if they desire.
