Cheesequake 'weak'????

On another strain a day or two ago I saw someone say the Cheesequake they grew out was weak and someone else chimed in that he had heard that about CQ too. Is this true or do those guys just not know what the F they're talking about? I'm pretty used to discounting almost anything I hear on this site that doesn't sound right to me as I've had too much shown to be BS that other people say as truth (particularly 'i couldn't grow x for shit -- it's the lights/strains/etcs fault (not because i'm not a great grower') -- figured some CQ growers could chime in on what their thoughts are? It was my opinion from what I'd read when I bought the seeds that it was on the more potent side, not less potent. Strong not even average. Was I wrong? I know CQ is a nute sensitive plant that makes me question someone else's lack of grow results as well as you never know if they screwed something up. On the other hand, as a heavy smoker I'm also used to hearing 'this strain is really strong and badass' and then trying it and thinking it's just ok at best.

I'm going to grow it out regardless, but just want some peace of mind on this from those who have grown it out, particularly if you are like me and smoke daily and have a tolerance and not just any kind bud gets you really high.

Yeah I think I remember that description and it's one of the things that made me want to buy it in the first place :) Definitely going to go easy on the cheese with the supersoil and nutes. I can't imagine how 4% CBD could be weak and am pretty much putting it down to unlucky/bad grow, but wouldn't mind hear some experienced CQ growers say how it compares for them in potency to other strains.

Glad to hear it ranks that high for you sub! I'm sure I'll be very happy -- very happy with my apollos so far (day 25 12/12 but only day 9 of flowering) :)

I got a 1 cheese quake in a pack of qrazy train, it was the keeper out of all.

How could I tell ..... Because it reeked of cheese after a good cure.

The buds were very frosty with plenty of good flavor too.

Alotta people talk junk about TGA but I'm very happy with the Querkle & The Cheese Quake.

Grow it for yourself and you'll see the truth.

I got a 10 pack arriving in the mail any day and definitely will -- have been anticipating it a lot in fact :) I'm guessing the people who said it just had really bad luck or just missed something in their grow.

Cheesequake is like the NY Giants... Underdog but always a winner. I actaully dismissed it my first grow but my wife saved a cut of it and by the time we dried it and smoked it it has been a patient favorite for over a year . Look I try a new strain every month and I always have people requesting more and more cheesequake. If I wasn't so into the exploration of growing many strains and wanted to just make money my garden would be cheesequake only. Thanks sub

Really farmer roots had enough nutes to get her all the way through with no feedings?? Surprising :) I know she doesn't like a lot of nutes and I was planning on keeping her out of super soil too -- good to know just roots alone is a good choice for her.

Does CQ also not like a ton of light in addition to being a light feeder?

Whaaaat? She loves light, stick It to her man...and yes feeding is not necessary, roots saw her through with a beautiful fade.

Edit. I forgot I did use a little molasses about week 5 I think

Cheesequake is far from weak. It isn't a heavy indica buzz if that is what you use to guage by, but weak it is not. IK like to smoke it from first smoke until I dont have to be productive anymore. While making you feel, well great I guess, you are able to handle every day tasks. By feel great I mean this stuff is about impossible to be/get/stay in a bad mood with. I have also tried very little strains that offer this kind of pain relief from smoking. I usually have to eat medibles or use tincture to get relief when I am really hurting but I can acyually smoke this stuff and notice a difference. The medibles and tincture are just that much more effective with this strain. If you decide to have a proper smoke out and go heavy on CQ you will find yourself a giggling, confused kid sitting in a bean bag. Onre of my favorites aswell and requested by the patients over every other strain we run except maybe Sour Diesel.
