You're supposed to use a fresh razor and go with the growth. A dull razor does it ever time.

"Go with the growth," that seems like an odd expression. I found it helps that if it grows down, shave down first, but to get it really close, shave up after, and press my finger against the skin just ahead of the blades to create a slight curve to make the stubble stand up better. Those red bumps don't appear if I soak in a hot bath after for at least 30 minutes.
 
I used to just trim because it get tidier from about 10. Also, spending the amount of time in a leotard I do, it felt more comfortable to have the side shaved/trimmed. Then it became the top, then it went to just a little tuft right down below. Then one day I snapped and just shaved it all off. It is more hygeinic, I like taking care of the skin that used to be under the fluff. Getting hairs caught was never fun. If I don't have a full pelt of fur all over, patchy bits beside the hair on my head feel annoying and pointless. Like I mentioned in another thread I'm a trichotillomaniac, which is conducive to keeping areas hairless I guess.

But my trimming regime had nothing to do with anything sexual. The ONE time I finally got the object of my affection in my panties he was just confused by it. I have no sex life so the paragraph is not applicable.

Arrg... I'm not saying woman have to be 'plastic' and perfect, completely waxed and unnatural but that just completely turned me off, as lovely as her face and legs are.
