Rationale = Logic
Yeah that was easy lol.
Rationale = Logic
I don't think Democrats are smarter than Republicans..or vice versa.
First of all, there are many conservative atheists because of humanist reasons.
I'm a economic and social liberal. For that reason I will side with Republicans over Democrats. I want to keep the shit I earned. If you Democrats want to steal it, go fuck yourselves. What, is Frothy going to watch my bed when I have anal sex with my wife? Get a life. How do I stop the Mack Daddy from stealing from me? I can't beg my boss to give me money that Kenyan garnished.
Btw, I score in the high 120s to mid 130s on IQ tests, which is two deviations above your median very liberal. So your charts suck.
You're as liberal as anyone here, you're just afraid to admit it.
Do these studies take into account economic disparity of the groups?
"But two important caveats are needed. First, by “conservatism” Stankov does not necessarily mean people who favor free market economics. He has in mind a kind of traditionalism probably best described as social conservatism:"
I am positively correlated.![]()
You're as liberal as anyone here, you're just afraid to admit it.
Please continue about how being liberal makes you more wealthy.
Perhaps you should go on about how being black makes you stupid?
Is that the kind of thing you like to go on about?
Conservatism and cognitive ability are negatively correlated … At the individual level of analysis, conservatism scores correlate negatively with SAT, vocabulary, and analogy test scores. At the national level of analysis, conservatism scores correlate negatively with measures of education … and performance on mathematics and reading assessments.
It's in your article. Black people didn't do well here they stated. You know why? It isn't because they're stupid. It's because they come from predominantly poor areas and have suffered through various events all through their history that have made things difficult.
And you know what? There are plenty of middle American families, groups and individuals that have gone through many other events that have similarly left them poor, but not necessarily stupid.
Further this article seems to be trying to paint a group as inherently flawed, rather than a product of their environment (which is far far more likely given the huge numbers of people we are discussing). And then trying to assign a few definitions to a large group of people and you have a recipe for more methodology issues. There is no genetic issue at play here though, it is all economic. And I don't feel the article makes this clear at all and in fact appears to be intentionally divisive.
All of these measures have large levels of bias and tell us little about actual levels of intelligence. This sure is a great divisive issue though.
Which is why I felt this entire thread was terrible to start with.
Those who think government is never big enough...
"minorities" are taken advantage of
abortion is like a haircut...
global warming will kill you, etc.
Those make you liberal?
Don't fuck with me and I won't fuck with you. But I don't know of one liberal who thinks that. They all want to be your brother's keeper, for your own good. Even Bucky says he does it daily.
It is bias because you don't like it? Look at the graph again.
Those who think government is never big enough, let's all sing kumbaya, "minorities" are taken advantage of, abortion is like a haircut, global warming will kill you, etc. Those make you liberal? I don't agree even slightly or sympathize with one of those.
I only agree with one liberal platform, the death penalty is wrong. All drugs should be legal is supposed to be liberal. I agree with no illegal drugs. But know of no one who agrees, even if they do them.
I just agree with what's right. Don't fuck with me and I won't fuck with you. But I don't know of one liberal who thinks that. They all want to be your brother's keeper, for your own good. Even Bucky says he does it daily.
They are biased measures because they are directly correlated to the amount of attention one can focus on education. A vocabulary test? Really?
