Ok MYandMY, this is what I have. There are multiple vent openings throughout the tent. I have the ducting, cooling hood, and the inline fan. I am just trying to figure out where is best to put what. Should I hook the fan directly up to the hood or what?Post pics of your tent
Goodluck to youI'm new to growing as well and just started my set-up last week. Trying some LA Confidential and Purple Chemdog. Good luck on yours!
Oh thanks. I am so confused. I am not sure where to put the fan, inside or outside... I don't know, lol. The cooling hood I ordered is huge..welcome to the site! looking good, very jealous of your lighting system and tent, you should start a journal! +rep and happy growin!
You just need the one light. Raise the light and raise the three good plants the same amount. That leaves them with the same light they're getting now, and the one poor plant getting less.I am using one light for all of them right now, I do have another 450W MH I can put up, so that will work. Good idea!! Ok so raise the light on the 3 good ones or vise versa? Thank you for your advice.
Thanks. All the plants are doing good, and have fully recovered and have doubled in size since I initially posted. I am only using one 400W MH right now.You just need the one light. Don't attach the fan directly to the hood, it will make a lot of noise and may be bad for the light bulb. Connect them with a piece of flex duct. Hang the fan from bungee cord(s). Don't let sharp edges of fan bracket contact the bungee cord. It will cut thru it over time. Use the hooks! You can go from filter>flex duct>light hood>flex duct>fan>flex duct>outside(attic?). Use only one fan that way. You'll be pulling outside air thru the whole house, thru the tent, and out the exhaust. Your A/C bill will be higher. Or you can go outside air(intake in window or whatever)>flex duct>light hood>flex duct>fan>flex duct>outside(attic?). A/C bill will be lower, but you will need to replace co2 consumed by plants. You or any pets you have will exhale enough co2 to do it with only four plants. Got a big dog? Only co2 generater known that will love you. You will need a second fan for the filter. It should pull air from the room thru the tent(light proof intake needed here, close to floor, flex duct in "S" shape works, it can be inside or outside the tent, you'll step on it repeatedly if outside)>filter(near ceiling)>flex duct>fan>flex duct>outside the tent into the room. Get speed controllers for the fan($20.00 each at Harbor Freight). Cuts way down on the noise.Ok MYandMY, this is what I have. There are multiple vent openings throughout the tent. If they've doubled in size in ten days, you're doing something right.Thanks. All the plants are doing good, and have fully recovered and have doubled in size since I initially posted. I am only using one 400W MH right now.
They sell adaptors for that. $15-18, cheaper on Ebay. Hydrofarm(three round pins) has their own plug style. Sunlight Supply(two round pins and one flat) and nearly everyone else use the "common" or "standard" style. You'll need the filter later when the plants start to really stink.Oh, thank you.. Ok.. I will start with the light hood>duct>fan>duct. I am really irritated right now.. The new reflector hood I just got, the cord that goes from the socket to the ballast does not fit my ballast. Any of them. So.. I have to put the light socket from the old reflector inside the new reflector...
