I taught myself to make it today. fucked up on the lattice work for the crust but thought id share my pride with the world

we didnt have any... :(
lol because i made them small all i needed was one apple, some sugar, butter, flour, and cinnamon. its really that easy.
the bottom crust needed a bit of work too, but id give it a 7/10 for my first time ever

lol i feel inspired. I dont want to keep cooking things that are bad for me, but i do wanna brush up on my cooking skills this summer... I think its time to diet and use my love of cooking in a good, delicious way.

Dedicate one day of the week to cook some unhealthy food and exercise 2-3 times a week. :-P

Very nice job for your first try. You should be proud because pies are tougher than cakes. Pies are especially tough if it's warm where you are now. Rolling dough is tougher the hotter it gets.

If you like to bake you might want to consider investing in a Sil-Pin. They make dough handling a little easier.

or you can do what paula deen did. put a stick of butter in everything and get diabetes but hold out tellin till you get a deal with jenny or weight watchers..ha...just kiddin. except about the breasts.

actually i dont really like baking.
I mean, i enjoy to make brownies and cookies, and wanted to try to make a pie, but for the most part i enjoy creating actual meals.
I have two chicken breasts in a teriyaki-soysauce marinade right now, tomorrow it will be teriyaki chicken, with sticky rice.
when creating some sort on entree, you have more freedom from precise measurements, which is the part i hate most about baking
