Yep...but your not going to like the results.
I would have done CFLs with a reflector. That way the light is concentrated.

You can even use just 1 13 watt CFL to grow, but the light output drastically influences your flower output.
I prefer more direct lighting.
Such as helical integrated CFLs. (the small spiral ones) You can pop one right ontop of a plant and as it gets bigger, surround it with more of them (up to 6 or 8 in some cases)

To simply answer your question. Yes that is enough light for a low output grow.

of course the 150 watt will be more but on a budget and heat issue the 50 watt will have way better results trust me

i would get 2 23 watt cfls for vegging (just add them along with the light you have there) and then when you're ready to flower. I'd switch the cfls to higher output(warmer) cfl's like 100 watt bulbs. you'd get a much better return from this.

If you are going the CFL route...be manly about it. Get a reflector, too. You will have heat issues to deal with...what's your plan?
If not, then check out this thread and scale it down to 1 plant equivalency:

Good luck, and guys, remember we're here to help. Clouser...do more research.

dont grow pot in your closet at your parents house :D ....if your not doing that then you can get yourself a hps for flowering otherwise your wasting your time because only ppl pulling decent yields with flouros only have mad practice at it...go with cfls for veg though for sure for one plant those tubes are only good if you have alot more plants!

With that light you would be luck if you yielded 2 grams from a plant, and spending 3 months growing is not worth 2 grams. Either go and buy some proper kit or go and buy a bag :)

is this enough light
Yeah! It's perfect for rooting clones, or any other area that is 4' long and only 3" wide. "Shoplights" (any standard 4' twin tube fixture using "regular" wattage tubes) are good for about 1 sq. ft.. But they're 4' long - you do the math.
