I'm not sure. I did talk to the guys at speedyweedyrx about their GSC clones. The only information they would give me about their GSC clones was "we are almost positive they are real. We got these from a trustworthy source. If you don't believe us, don't buy them". They wouldn't tell me where they got them from or tell me if they'd grown them out themselves and seen the final product. Nor would they respond to any other questions. That wasn't good enough for me. Saying they were "almost" positive they were real tells me they probably haven't grown them out to see for themselves if they are real. While their source might be trustworthy to them, an anonymous "trustworthy" source being vouched for by people I don't know doesn't mean shit to me.
I ended up passing on getting them myself for those reasons. I'm not saying they are fake, I have no idea. But I do know there are a ton of fakes out there and I'm not going to buy any GSC clone from someone who hasn't actually seen the clones they are selling flower. "I know a guy who knows a guy who flowered them" doesn't cut it for me. I definitely wouldn't drive 7 hours just for that.
If you are going to drive 7 hours to get them, I recommend getting some from multiple sources to increase your odds of getting the real deal. I've got them from 4 sources. All their stories checked out and all were able to produce the final product of the plant. One of those sources was directly from the Sunset district in SF. Of course any of those people could have sold me fake seeds/clones and just bought some GSC buds at a club and handed them to me. But I talked to all of them for a while, they seemed legit to me. As long as one out of the four sources is legit, then I've got it. I don't think all 4 could have been lying.
Those places do have their rep to worry about, so I doubt they are trying to rip people off intentionally. But who knows, they could have been ripped off by the people they got them from. If they haven't flowered them, how do they really know? If you are going to go that far to get them, I'd get a couple from each place, then find another source of two just to be sure.
