Why are humans so natural to resist everything?

Resistance is weird, its like our whole thinking process. Imagine a piece of rubber, like a dildo. Now if you keep bending it, over and over, it will get easier. Same goes with practice of instruments, social situations.. Practice of anything. People get rusty, the grease up again.

But it also works in the opposite way. You think its the same thought process? Rebellion. As a kid, even if I knew my parents were right, Id still argue. As with anyone. If someone grabs for something in my hand I immediately resist... Like I still do it on purpose sometimes and everyone does.. Why?

We are so non accepting of each other when really all humans are the same, just a selfish ignorant race. If you look at a pile of rats can you tell their intelligence? No. Even if you could(I guess you could) Would it matter? No. I guess it would.. WTF AM I TALKING ABOUT:wall:

This thread was terrible lol dude if you are in the mood for a mind fuck.. You were talking about aliens earlier.. Read this short article you will be very happy you did

Why do humans resist..

I think humans resist because change is scary and tradition is comforting. You know what's always been there will always be there. What's had your back, will continue to do so. Resistance is natural, almost.. normal. It's a reaction to a changing, uncertain environment or circumstance. It's the fear of the unknown that holds us back. But, curiously, it's also the fear of the unknown that drives us forward. :D Interesting dynamic when you think about it.

Why?

Because we're afraid.

Well damn mister answer pants

Its weird though also to think about that if you literal knew.. Just everything about everything.. Been to every place, everywhere in space in time. Yet youd probably still probably choose to live. Would you? Personally.. I mean I guess it would depend on what all THIS really is.. Still though if I knew there was infinite bliss on the other side(Which is what I am assuming). And if my friends/family were all part of my imagination. Id still stay to comfort them

I like to think..

I can tell you Im not very afraid unless its a split second kinda thing :p

the real question is rather, why do humans disobey instinct?

simple, refusal to accept reality's chains. one of the humans more positive traits. people choose to believe unbelievable things, whether its real or not, their craving for knowledge drives them on ward. and the fact that they are mortal, thus in realizing, it gives them a determination to survive, even if this means resisting the inevitable. this is what separates us from the animals, we live in the present with constant consideration of the futures consequences. true animal instinct has no thought of consequence.

If I knew everything about everything, my first response is I would not want to continue to exist. If there were no more questions to be answered, I would pretty much think "what's the point?". BUT...

Your second question made me reconsider that stance...

If existence was, at that point, just some sort of.. continued interaction with all the people you came into contact with throughout your life who meant something to you... That really makes me reconsider, because, in the first scenario, there is absolutely nothing to continue to obtain, no more growth, nothing to find out. But in the latter, perhaps there are an infinite possibility of new things to find out with an, essentially, infinite number of people to poll from, considering all the stories your immediate family would have, and all the people that would be in them, eventually, any rational person would investigate each individual persons backstory, history, everything, in an infinite sequence of existence! All you would have is time. Who knows, I'm not even sure if I believe in 'infinity'...

IDK.. If I beat everything on skyrim, I'm not sure if I'd still play the game. I'd probably give myself a pat on the back and turn the game off.

"the known is finite, the unkown is infinite; intellectually we stand on an islet in the midst of an illimitable ocean of inexplicability. Our buisness in every generation is to reclaim a little more land".. That's what I live for. I live for humanity as a whole. I live so we can keep pushing forward. If there's no more to push for, is there really a meaning in life?

"The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious. He who knows it not and can no longer wonder, no longer feel amazement, is as good as dead, a snuffed-out candle".

Right, you gotta think too that your head is one universe really, there are about eighty thousand kagillion other universes coinciding with yours but are completely different..

I feel like we are complete dependent animals despite what we think.Ever gone too long without human contact?

I feel like the only 'answers' you could get are from intense meditation sessions, in which case you isolate yourself. Most people who undergo a journey at a buddhist monetary or something never come back the same

Infinities weird just becasue whats beyond infinity. Thats the thing there is more behin infinity. But that in itself is also considered infinity. Its like zero, but the opposite

Huxley mah niggah.

Oh yeah. I forgot about people lol. The essence of the meaning of life. I think I might decide to keep on playing the game because the game would be infinite. As long as we can ditch earth before it craps out on us, humanity will live on. If there's babies born, then there's a new chapter in life. One person can change your world, so babies can change the world for us. Not sure if this makes sense, I'm pretty high.. like a fly.. in the sky.
