If your looking to buy a house, right now alot of new houses are being built and sold for dirt cheap in LA suburbs like Palmdale/Lancaster and places in Riverside. Thats honestly where I would move if I was coming from out of state. Rent/mortgage is at midwest rates and its relatively close to the beach and all of LAs famous attractions.

More like ninety. You have to go over either the 84 or the 9. Even when I had a BMW it was slow twisty going, with puke bags for the kids. cn

Sorry canna but Santa Cruz is just over the hill hwy 17 will get you there in about 30-40 min... unless it's a hot day then it could me much longer than that. I take 152 since it runs through my town, and then hit 9 from there, still about a 30 min drive... Monterey isn't that much further, and Carmel (home of Clint Eastwood) just a lil further down. But no beach in San Ho... there us the Guadalupe river, and a few small lakes around here. Stay high.

From Sunnyvale to Santa Cruz, a good hundred minutes. Then again I refused to speed. From same start point to either San Gregorio or Butano, ninety plus. That is what i remember. Thirty, forty was the time needed *just* to get to the 9/35 junction above Saratoga. cn

Nor Cal sucks. Anything north of Hesperia/Victorville is a waste of living in Cali if you ask me.

Do really mean that anything north of that hellhole called San Berdoo is a waste. Do you realize that you are living in a desert? A smoggy, tweeker populated, twiggy beach without a body of water? Outside of the tiny inhabitable part of the county it's a fucking Mad Max playground.

Victorville/Hesperia only exists because people on their way to Las Vegas had car trouble there and couldn't leave. If you want to you can leave. I know everyone says that you can't but it's OK to go and look at other places but you'll have to leave behind your Meth. and your dirtbike and your filthy, sweat stained baseball cap.

If you were to venture up north to the place that you said sucks then you would see trees. Yes, they are big but you don't have to be afraid of them 'cause they won't hurt you. You might also encounter something called the ocean. Yes, it is big and it might eat you if you go into it so I wouldn't risk it.

Maybe east into Nevada is your cup of tea. You can visit that plastic playground called Las Vegas and then guess what? More desert.

Sir, I was responding to you very thoughtful post about norcal sucking. As you were so kind to share your opinion, I thought I would return the favor. Do you not realize that? I really can't go through the whole post and explain it to you but I will explain a little. San Berdoo is a derogatory name for San Bernardino County. Hesperia/ Victorville are located in the South-West corner of that county. You stated that any place north of there wasn't worth living in and I think that you are incorrect.

Any other parts that you don't understand will have to remain a mystery to you.

He's saying where you live is a shithole.
I may have been incorrect in assuming that kalender lived in H/V. Perhaps I owe H/V an apology. I guess I'm most curious about how the south-west corner of San Bernardino is viewed as the northern most boundary of civilization.
