Does your religion allow you to smoke weed?

I know Muslims are against alcohol but can they smoke weed?
Can Catholics or any other faith?
Or do they follow their faith when it suits like most of them in the UK

Yes, many of them are hypocrites.

I get the feeling that you also think they're "bad people" for being hypocrites. If so, then I disagree. They are just as bad as everybody else.

I'm speaking from raw expoerience. I was once so naive that I held people of faith to a high moral esteem until I saw THEY were the ones who's actions were so shameful.

But "they" are not the only ones that commit the same shameful acts that they said not to do. Nobody deserves to be held to a high moral esteem.

I can tell a thief not to steal and then steal an item myself (which would make me a hypocrite just like many religious people). But in the end, we're both thiefs that don't deserve respect. All I'm saying is that it's fine for you to think down upon religious people, but you should do the same for everybody since nobody is "righteous". :)

But "they" ask to be instead of their individual accomplishments. What gives you the impression that I look down on ALL religious people. Im talkkin bout the ones who talke advantage of "religion".

The fact that you haven't given me a specific religion to talk about lead me to assume that you meant all religious people. Based on your last post, I now assume that you don't mean all religious people.

The people that take advantage of religion are bad.. but not any worse than anybody else.
Like priests that rape children (sorry for bringing up this horrible topic).. Yeah they abused their powers, but there's other people that rape children too. In the end, it doesn't matter if they were hypocrites or not. The only thing that matters is that they're scum and deserve punishment.

I'm probably just not understanding your point.

I reckon the Rastas in Jamaica got the best deal, just sit and get stoned all day,no work to do fuck all.
im pretty sure thats not all there is about the rastafari religion. ive gotten into conversations with a few and they seem to know a LOT about it. i dont recall them saying anything about ´just sitting and getting stoned all day´

I see where everyones going on this but it's a simple question, does your faith allow you to smoke it or do you do it on sly. It's against the law where I smoke it,I ain't a bad person

Mark 2:27 - "And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath..."

Christ himself (if you're Christian) explained that it is not ethically or morally wrong if necessity is the motivating factor. My faith prohibits the ingestion or use of alcohol, coffee and tobacco EXCEPT for beneficial reasons aka "medicinal purposes". There is no official proclamation against marijuana use but we are told to "follow the laws of the land." So the church is against marijuana. New Mexico has legal medical marijuana. It's the only thing that works for me without turning me into a non-productive zombie. Anyone who knows New Mexico's qualifying conditions and requirements is aware there has to be legitimate need with documentation to back it up. You must submit a doctor's signature and medical records with the diagnosis. Plus you must show that standard pharmaceuticals either aren't working or they're causing further complications. I'm following state law to the letter. I don't buy more than I can use. I don't sell it for profit. I'm not using it as a recreational past time. It's medicine for me. My conscience is clear.

i know a childrens pastor who would abuse his kids. and i knew a friend whos uncle was a pastor who was a peeping tom.
I knew an atheist that abused his kids. I've also heard of an atheist that went down in a homicidal rampage.
I'm not saying that they did this due to the fact that they're atheist. That wouldn't make sense.
I'm just saying that every human is bad. Which does not exclude religious people.
