Japan is in a HEAP of trouble, this disaster is going to be many times worse than Chernobyl. Already a huge amount of land is uninhabitable for the next 20 generations. You don't hear much about it because Japan is very hush hush.
Japan is use to radiation, nothing new here. Even taking a shit there is interesting.

hysterical nonsense...most of the evacuated area has levels so low that cutting down on smoking or excercising will more than ofset any harm caused

care to point me to some deaths caused by radiation post chernoble?

fun fact coal power plants give off more radiation to enviroment than nuclear
Do coal plants give off more radiation than a nuclear reactor that is melting down?

The Sun gives off more radiation than all the coal plants combined.

LMAO if its so low then why evacuate?
over zelous officials "better safe than sorry"the majority of evacuees are suffering demonstrably more from the upheavel and uncertainty than if they had stayedits a mark of peoples perception of nukes 10's of thousands died on the shoreline due to tsunami yet the media attention and evacuation is centerd on nukes that killed no one

I got a news flash for everyone (hopefully not, but some for sure)

Trapped methane that is escaping from the ocean floor AND the permafrost is THREE TIMES more concentrated as a greenhouse gas than CO2, period! And it's happening right now just as it did before man even existed. ;)

http://www.nature.com/ngeo/journal/vaop/ncurrent/abs/ngeo1480.html

Here is more news - that methane is being released faster and faster as CO2 is warming the planet - and even more news, the carbon sinking characteristics of the oceans are beginning to fail which will cause even more methane to be released - and here is even more - methane is being released as a result of man.

one of oldest design nuclear plants

one of biggest earthquakes ever recorded

massive tsunami killing 10's of thousands

multiple human errors

this is about as bad as it gets before you'd consider the nuke to be the least of your worries and still no one has died

modern designs of powerplant are now designed so you can walk away and it wont melt down

as little as the sun has to do with this i fully support its work even with my fair skin

Is this a fart joke, cause if it is I will pass it along to my wife, she loves fart jokes.

He probably broke even, or a little more. He got a tax break, and liberal cred amongst peers and customers. The carbon credits were a gift to an underling or client from a rich boss. Now the current owner gets more value in bartering to some sucker liberal wanting bragging points. So everyone wins, just some more than others. The only losers are those against it, like me, who know it's a scam.

I made some decent money on carbon credits as well.

Perhaps we could consider not putting our plants on the coast or near major earthquake faults?

Sure, here's a study from The International Journal of Health Services that found there has been 14,000 deaths in the US from the radiation from Fukushima.http://www.radiation.org/reading/pubs/HS42_1F.pdfBut what you're failing at here is the long term effects of radiation poisoning.
yeah you can't arbitarily say any deaths you consider to be excess and blame them on fukishima.

the time scales they're talking about would involve radiation poisoning and nowhere apart from fukishima had levels that high

theres no way on earth people were contracting cancer and dying as a result all within a few weeks

as to long term we have the worse disaster of chernoble to look at and there isnt the blip that were expected

let me hit you with a question I doubt you can answer correctly.

A bat and a ball cost $1.10 together and the bat costs one dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

Unable to do math or critical thinking then eh? Move to Fukushima and prove us all wrong.

So weak that you couldn't even answer it? London took all of 1 second to figure it out, but you are still racking the brain. It's OK though, 50% of MIT students get the answer wrong too.
trolling 101 when unable to add to conversation try to take conversation on unrelated topic in attempt to seem smart

answer to obvious troll= ignore unrelated nonsense and stay on issue

weaksauce anyway you look at it
