Meet and talk to some real life Muslims? Ok, I credit you with being newer. My husband was a grocery wholesaler n the Metro Detroit area, covering Dearborn. We delivered to everyone, no matter the race, color, etc. Most everyone was polite and friendly.

The ones that gave me the most problems were male Muslims. The women were so warm and friendly, but their husbands could be rude. It think that the Islam is missing the boat by subjugating these wonderful women. They are the best PR you have going for you. Alas, I react to how I am a treated and I have not been treated that well by your Muslim brothers.

I think that you mean well. I understand that it is hard for you when your brothers are killing Muslims and Infidels in the name of Allah.

I'm too tired to continue today. I want some lighter fare. I'll catch up later.

I'm not paraphrasing the Quran. The quotes are what I'm talking about. They're very straight forward commands. How can I try changing what they mean?

My logic tells me to not read a book that commands people to kill others due to their beliefs. The proof is in the quotes scrog posted.

Like I said, those few quotes are not representative of the entire book. Also, Arabic is very hard to translate to english. There are no english written qurans, only translations.. so what you read my be a little different from the actual meaning in its original Arabic.

Can you read arabic? If not you're reading the same "different" translations? How do you know which one is right?

I'm pretty sure if you can figure out the actual meaning so can the people posting the barbaric scriptures.

Can you demonstrate how it's peaceful? I believe you also claimed Islam is "tolerant", can you demonstrate that, too?

Lets say you're black and your friend is black. Y'all have been friends for a while and he has taught you many good things. Then one day, you go over to his house and you find him killing a white dude in his backyard :shock:. You say "dude, what the fuck are you doing". He says "I hate white people". What do you do at that moment?

The Quran is the same way. Sure it tells you some good things (assuming), but after all the good things, it commands you to kill. The killing part just screws the whole book over.

Come on pad. Is it really that hard to see how their religion is peaceful? You just got to look past all the dead bodies and chopped off heads.

Have you read the Quran and other Islamic texts? Do you have any muslim spiritual guides? Have you ever prayed at a mosque?
