The Main-Lining Thread

Lets Main-line a clone, and run her under the sun...shall we?

...lets follow the life of the Ace clone thru her early main-lining, and watch as she is seriously bonded, and run under the sun in a 20 gal. smart pot with a custom canopy ring.....sounds fun huh?.......this is real time, so the last pic was taken last night......:leaf:

.....the first pic shows a young clone plant that has been pruned to hold two asymetrical nodes........then allowed to stretch for a week or so......then the bonding begins.....notice the bends are at the same level....very important....she is then pruned for four, allowed to grow for a week or so, then pruned for eight.....allowed to grow a bit, then all four mains are bonded to the pot.....she is repotted to a 5 gal. bucket, and then pruned for 16.........then it gets FREAKY!.....let the serious bondage begin!.....the last pic is a headband from seed.....and you can barely tell the difference between the clone ace, and the seed plant......i will be transplanting the bonded 16 in her flower pot real soon....stay tuned.....nugbuckets:leaf:

So, I know that I'm probably being redundant, but I don't want to fuck up my little babies. Looking at this plant you would remove the first set of leaves which are coming out at the cotyledon along with the little offshoots and then work with the next two sets of nodes.

Nug...you've sold me on mainlining...it seems awesome, especially for someone like me who can't keep their hands off their plants

Going to try this with the original purple haze...seed germing as we speak :)

he/she is a TGA Kaboom. under a 400 watt HPS in roots...truthfully I can't believe that they tolerate the light as close as I have it. Especially with the heat wave that we just had here. The area that they were in was hitting 105-110. I did get a little necrosis on some leaves, but now I have the temperatures under control. I guess you gotta love those sativa genetics.

Yeah thanks again Nugs! So far so good on my little project. My 16 top plant looks like it has Arthritis:-P Link in sig. My clone looks great, pretty even canopy too. Not easy in my space I'll tell you that. I wish I can get my hands on some of that Amish mix though, but the Super Soil has been doing me good for over a year now.

Peace and have a nice day!

Update....
....the mainlined Ace's went into their sun pots yesterday....they are pruned for 16, and have a good four weeks of heavy veg in front of them to build a good root mass, and fill out nicely....note....velcro did not work on these large tan smarties, so i went with the coated wire........just temporary until i get the mains soft-tied to the canopy ring....:leaf:

very bright farmer you are.
& really cool thread.

thanks for sharing.

i never venture into the organic section but glad i did today.

& its great when you have mad experience yet still can learn some nice things!

& the applications to your method can even be applied to cut management/mom keeping.

that low profile cab i must say is super fat & way slick in combination with your plant management style.

kudos to your skillz brother... all the way from major city east coast USA.

Definitely going to be trying this next round! Might adapt this technique to my dwc bucket, just need to attach one of those rings to the lid of the bucket :)
