thats what its all about man growing your own... how often are you trying to have a harvest?

The strains I have picked take 60-70 days to mature.

I plan on having 2 plants in each room at any one time.

So hopefully, harvest at least 4oz every 1.5 months.

I like the perpetual harvest way beter than doing one harvest a quarter or sometimes longer.. right now im doing a scrog and the veg time is just killing me.. next cycle I might get a perpetual going again cause right now im 3~4 months away from any smoke..
that is not good..
Im trying to push it with co2 but even then im 3 weeks min of veg time with a 10+ week flowering plant. well they are happy so im not complaining or nothing.
just saying, perpetual is the way to go...

I got myself one of those co2 hanging bag things.. im going to get a co2 ppm reader soon so i can how well they actually work, or if i need to ad maybe 2 more to the room.

Yup I picked strains will should deliver me something every month.. fingers crossed

hey them electronic co2 ppm readers can get real expensive. And unless you are using a tank or burner its not worth it. I paid $500us for mine, but hydrofarm has a cool inexpensive means of checking the levels using a suringe and cathode tubes.. They reading will be just as accurate as the electronic models if you follow the directions properly.. I believe I paid $25 for it when I started out.. Great investment..

And nope unfortunatly I live in the states.. would be a beautifull country if not for our fearless leaders.... but dont get me started on that.

They are doing very well. As soon as the above plants finish in the flower closet ill clone these and put them in there.

Ok so just found out my PPM reader gives me a readout divided by 10.

So that means all my PPM measurments have to be multiplied by 10.

My PPM of 160-180 that im feeding my plants is actually 1600-1800 ppm.. isnt that WAY too much?

Week 7 Flowering starts tomorrow for the unknown strains. Def Sativa tho.

Got myself two new 65w 2700k CFLs to help finish off the flowering stage with brighter, newer lights.



Everything is looking mint for them. I had to crank the dehumidifier the last 2 days to bring the humidity down from 60% to 30%. This has ofcourse increased the room temps to about 28C.


Cotton Candy and EML are doing well. I FIM'd them the other day as they're getting too tall. They're a bit stretched but I put that down to putting in too much Nitrozyme (too much causes stretching) during one of the feedings.

I took out the 65w daylight and put in the 85w daylight.




And I broke my favorite ever bong while I was cleaning it. I was shaking it up and down cleaning it and didn't notice how close I was to the edge of the sink.

SMASH!! ... blood everywhere... methylated spirits and rice everywhere lol ..




Just picked up a new one.. slightly bigger.. similar shape... but wish I could have got myself a BLAZE bong... the local hemp stores say that it'll never make it through customs

Those are sativas are looking good nice lenghthy buds . Is methylated spirits mixed with rice good to use to clean all that resin and shit outta a bong ? didn`t know . Yeh they are probably right about the bong since your guys and aussies customs are realy sophisiticated it`s quite rubbish that they won`t even let paraphernalia . The spectrum from the led`s looks realy awesome didn`t notice you where using if with cfls but for sativa`s the bud is looking dense as if it were grown outdoors can`t wait till you harvest those girls . Could be along time I`m also flowering a sativa and is kinda in the same stage just producing many white hairs can` wait till the buds swell and the hairs invert so i can harvest . peace gl rad setup .

Hah yup Methylated spirits with rice as the abrasive. Works like a charm! Been using the method for years.

The LED light is a 120w 8:1 red:blue. Its pretty good. I would def get the 300w version from the same company next time tho.

Ive been looking at ways to get a bong into the country.. and it looks like you can buy BLAZE bongs in parts ... i was thinking of sending each part of the bong separately from each other then assemble it back here hahah

I think I have about 2.5 weeks of flowering left on the Sativas. They wont be getting anymore food.. just water from now on. Time to flush.

I just supercropped the Cotton Candy and EML.

They look ok. No splitting in the main stem.

When you supercrop.. i heard the stem snap in the middle.. and it went a bit brown at the kink.. but now they're almost standing up straight again.. is that right or are they meant to hang low for 3-4 days?

im just getting back around after a week vacation. I got a chance to meet the rep from bluelab over the weekend another New Zealander. she was the coolest chick ever and not only cause she gave me one of there brand new ph pens..

And still unsure about my PPM measure.. ive been feeding my seedlings 50ppm (on the meter).. so I have to times that by 10.. so ive actually been feeding my seedlings at 500ppm? Wouldn't they die? Confused..

UPDATE

Here are my Cotton Candy and EML with their first super-cropping attempt. These pics were taken the other day when I did it. They're now standing back up straight.



And yesterday I flushed the soil from my 2 flowering plants. In went clear clean water.. out came yellow salty (almost pee colour) water. I take it thats a good flushing?

Im pretty sure its about 1-2 weeks away from harvest so its only water for the rest of their lives. Hopefully they have enough time to flush.

The trichomes are almost all cloudy.. only a few spots where there are clear trichomes remaining. I only spotted 1 or 2 (yes only 1 or 2 ) amber trichomes.. so im looking pretty good at the moment Expecting a very large harvest!

Not bad for my second harvest ever!

The display would read 050 .. I just happen to read it again the other day and noticed the multiply by 10... i was actually like ..

I got myself an LED 60-100x microscope and have been looking all over the plants. Id say that they're about 90% milky. And like i mentioned only found a hand full amber ones.

Im going away in 10 days for 2 nights. Im going to hopefully harvest the day I leave or just before hand so I will just trim and hang to dry while im away. But im worried about the young ones.. is there a way I can make hte water last longer between waters? At the moment they dry out every 32~ hours. I have to be here everyday to check on them.

Ideas?

Those new strains are going to be sick . I don`t have any advice on the watering situation for them . When you back from your holiday you must hook us up with some pics of those lenghty nice buds all trimmed and hanging up . peace happy growing bro .

well I guess you can always place them in a tray with extra water. what I did this last week when I went out of town was took my cloning tray filled it with water and placed my pots right in it.. my plants did just fine for the several days I was gone.. im sure the first day they were a bit waterlogged, but thats beter than them dying on me.
