Ph Question!

Hey guys... so soon im going to transplant my plant from soil into coco, its basicly going to be a manual hydro grow ^_^ Anyways... i added toomuch ph up to my water and it shot it up to 8.5 SO i used vinigar to lower it to 6.0 Im just wondering, will useing the vinigar harm the plants at all? Im seriously broke so i cant buy ph down. Cheers guys

A friend used vinegar and after a week or ten days he had globs of brown slimy stuff in his reservoir. It did work though. You can use lemon juice or you can make your own PH down.

Get some battery acid from any auto parts store. One cup per gallon of RO water or distilled water. Wear gloves and goggles.

vinegar and juices can cause more problems than they are worth. a qt of down is only a few dollars.

Go buy some ph up and down, when I want to kill weeds in the back yard I mix vinegar and water and it kills them dead.

Battery acid is pure sulfuric acid and distilled water. It is what commercial greenhouses and universities use, Just tossing it out there.

Its sulfuric acid, do some reading before swearing it off based on lack of information. Completely harmless and $25 worth can make over $500 worth of off-the-shelf product.

Sodium hydroxide, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc. All sounds horrible to most people because they dont understand what it is, until you realize you use the stuff all the time anyway. Why not just get the more concentrated shit and mix water in it? Thats all hydro companies do, but they rape you for it.
