Earth and Grow indoor plant grounding system

I just read the article in the newer High Times about a couple guys with masters in something or other that came up with the theory that plants should be grounded to the earth. They say that this is why indoor plants start to have trouble at 85f and above, yet outdoor plants can flourish at 95f. They also claim a host of other benefits.

I just ordered the starter kit from www.earthandgrow.com for $110.95 with shipping. I'll install it on my 6 flowering plants and we'll see how it goes. If I like it i'll get one for the veg room. I'll report back when it arrives.

Will do man. I took the only shipping option of 5-10 days, so it'll be a few. I was glad that I could order it - I'm tired of that 'have to get it from a store, a dealer' crap. We all have the internet and all know how to ship, I'd rather give any kind of mark-up to the creator/manufacturer than some kid at a hydro store that took forever to get it for me anyway. :-x

I read that article too! I didnt know it was 110 dollars though. I notice they don't go into a huge detail about the product its self and spend more time on the benefits. To me it seems like you could just make one by buying a power bar opening it up and running 6 long chunks of wire to the ground on every outlet but leave the positive and neutral un hooked or take the positive and neutral prongs right out of the power bars plug in. then strip a few inches of the wire off at the other end and stick it into the soil. It would cost you about 10 dollars for a cheap power bar and a roll of 18 gauge or so wire and in theory your plants would be grounded right?? If you notice. in the article it mentions that the product uses no measurable amount of energy which leads me to believe that it is basically just plugged into the ground on the outlet

Also I was looking at your pics thread and damn you have tons of beautiful ladies! Im doing a fruity chronic juice, sweet deep grapefruit, afghan kush for my next grow didnt know what my fourth plant was going to be but now i think i will do a bubblegummer. yours looks just like the one in attitudes picture! Also I dont know if you ever got your pictures to enlarge but after you upload them but before you post your reply just double click the picture and a little window will pop up and you can choose the size
EDIT after looking more the magic bud from paradise is frosty as fuck!! and harvest in 47 days? that's incredible

Ive heard of solar root simulators before, typically used for house plants that don't get much light, supposedly they do make a difference, maybe there is something to this, we'll know sooner or later because its either going to help CaptainCAVEMAN's grow or its not, I sure hope so because getting outdoor type yields indoors would be AWESOME!

Thanks man. You're going to love that sweet deep grapefruit if it's anythuing like mine. This pheno of Magic Bud is awesome! Not gargantuan buds, but frosty as hell and very fast!

So in that case what B.B.V.C. suggested about grounding them your self with a power bar should do the exact same thing as this product, only a LOT CHEAPER! If all this thing does is ground the plants I don't see why it wouldn't work???

So am I. However I might try to ground my plants my next round of growing. (will be soon)

This editor is impossible to manipulate. Maybe I need a wireless mouse or something. Anyway, here's the Earth and Grow 'system'. For you DIY people, this could easily be done for less than I paid. I am going to flower a Wonder Woman soon, and that plant will be the first true test of a flower from beginning to end. I think I'll buy some wire and ground the veg room rather than buy another of theese. I'll report back in a few weeks/months when I have an opinion of this.

their literature says "Earth & Grow's patent pending growing systems allows your plants to grow as nature intended without added chemicals."

are you planning on not using nutes?

i've been growing off and on since 1972. i read about this and laughed. maybe i'm just high. lol

I'm using supersoil. The FAQ sheet I got with it says nutrients should be used.

I like checking out new stuff, especially when the cost is not prohibitive like led's. I don't regret the purchase, but it would be just as easy to buy some wire and tie it around some copper in the basement and run it into the pots.

I've only had it a few days now, but I'd swear the plants in flower look less stressed. There's no way to quantify that so it's just opinion, but I run a very intense flower room and the plants in there look less stressed.

I've done this forever with dirt plants. there are so many earth signals, and so much ac current in the grow room, this is absolutely necessary for full potential growing.

It can be done with a common wire, looped to all of the soil, and stuck into the dirt ground.. We use bio feedback in our garden and the difference in plant "attitude" is apparent in one second, electronically speaking. Plants are bummed, until connected. 100$ is alot of money for a spool of wire though, but so what, we're all rich right??
