obama lowered your taxes and you thought he raised them. i don't exactly trust your judgment for shit.
ARE YOU SERIOUS? LOLOLT

That's a facade you "sock puppet".

Let me put this in layman terms for you, The US is more in debt now than 4 years ago. This is largely due to bailouts and stimulus plans. Where do you think the money is coming from to pay back the further debt that has grown? Tax payers you moron. What, you think we're going to find some magical energy that will recoup 7trillion? LOL! And obamacare is one of his first, imposed taxes, that instead gets recognized as a "bill, statute or law"

yes, i'm quite serious.

ya see, canna sylvan relies on the earned income tax credit, which was expanded under the american recovery and reinvestment act. he also works, meaning he received the making work pay tax credit. there were a few other credits he qualified for that were expanded under the stimulus, too.

i was the one who had to inform him of this after he stated that his taxes had been raised.

nice caps lock though.

TARP has been paid back. the stimulus was mostly tax breaks (see above). and it is a minor part of the overall debt. the rest of the debt comes from annual structural deficits left to obama by his predecessor, who inherited a neutral/surplus budget. obama has not increased the deficit despite being handed a massive recession. that's a pretty hard thing to do.

but of course, a baby einstein like yourself should know that.

you have no idea what you're talking about. go back to playing with your toy robots and powder mildew weed.

i gotta admit, powdery mildew in the middle of the desert is impressive, especially for a fucking multi-millionaire engineer

tell us more about how exempting the first $2400 of UI from taxes is "socialism", genius.

too easy.

Not renewing Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest, watch that deficit dwindle and become a surplus.

Well I am not going to post walls of text pointing out your clear delusion, instead if anyone wants to see it, it can be found here.

In case you didn't notice, I quoted the text from this link on pg 10 of this thread that shows that even your own link proves how wrong you are about this.

This tells me something very important about partisan hacks like you and beenthere. It tells me that you actually believe the propaganda you've been fed, but you're so thoroughly brainwashed by that propaganda that you didn't even bother reading the Wikipedia article you linked to because you were sure it would prove you right.

I'm not a Democrat or a Republican and I shit on both sides when they're wrong. It's trickier with Democrats because there always seems to be a sliver of truth to their lies. With Republicans, it's much simpler, at least these days. They lie about what the Constitution says, they lie about who the founders were, and they lie about laws and regulations that have been passed. Every time I prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you guys have been misled, I never get a response. Not from hard core Republicans.

I keep waiting for that day. The day that one of you guys come to the realization that you've been a pawn to advance someone else's agenda. When you decide that you won't be an agent of disinfo to fill someone else's pockets. But that day never comes. You guys just keep on posting your nonsense with conviction hoping to brainwash some other poor guy who's too lazy to read up.

so i just read criticism from the left and right about the speech as well as a transcript of the speech itself.

it was a poor speech at face value.

but upon reading the transcript, there are a few landmines obama laid out. well, a lot of landmines.

let's just say that romney had better tiptoe carefully, otherwise he will have no legs soon.

still a poor speech though. i bet it knocks his bump from 5 points down to 2 or 3. that convention was an unstoppable freight train until obama gave that speech. he needed more clinton-esque focus on policy and facts.

Obama has never been skilled at that. the whole "You didn't build this" thing came from Obama trying to be Elizabeth Warren. Though, I think the only way his speech could be considered weak is by comparing it to Clinton. It was still a much better speech than anything we saw from the RNC. My wife is a lifetime Republican who never voted for a Democrat in her life, and she was persuaded by his speech to vote Obama this time.

true, but that won't satisfy those in the center who are frustrated with the economy.

the only good part of this speech is all the poignant references obama quickly breezed over. he will have time to expand on each of those in the next 2 months if need be. and yes, need will dictate that he cover each and every one of them.

presidential elections nowadays are about controlling the news cycle. i think obama placed many landmines in here, any one of which could cover an entire news cycle.

we'll see. obama is playing chess while the rest of us play checkers, or at least that is what it has seemed like for years now.

Biden had a better speech then obama .:eyesmoke:

And joe still cant read the crowd, every time the crowd got excited he just talked over them. There was a lot of moments that would have been standing ovations, but he cut them off before they could build momentum.
