expert hydro advise needed!

So i'm starting to think i'm doing something wrong and need advice. I have a flood and drain table, 6” rock wool cubes on a 4x4 coco Mat 40gl rez. I'm growing Hindu Kush ( heavy yielding plant) I have 10 plants. I do not top, super crop, or anything else. I just let them grow the way mother nature intended. My last grow with the same strain I got 19 Oz's. Some people are telling me I should have got 2lbs. One of my questions is this, if I use less plants on my next run will I still get the same amount? The foliage is so dense that light never gets to the lower bud, so if I spread out the plants will my yield be bigger? I would like to hear from some of you on what you think i'm doing wrong or what I can improve on. These pictures are of my current grow witch i'm going to harvest soon and expect the same results as last time. Please give me your advise, good or bad! And do you think I should be getting more? Thanks for reading this!

Nutes, GH grow, micro, bloom, floralisious plus, diamond nectar, flora Nectar, flora blend, rapid start, pro-tekt silica, hygrozyme. Liquid kool bloom, and powder kool bloom the last week

600 or 1000 lamp?
You might try adding some side lighting if 600 ... a coupla blue T5s will round out the spectrum and increase trichome loading.

But seriously, those plants look gorgeous. They testify that "this guy knows what he's doing". 19 oz. from a 600 is close to ideal. My best advice is "don't worry". Don't get suckered into a competition with a number!

Kushes and other Indica-dominants typically yield best in a SOG arrangement (more plants, not fewer). But your canopy fill is so good that imo you can only gain a small increment by going SOG, with an increased cloning and other workload.

thanks, good advice on the c02 i'm still a beginner so i'm still focusing on the basics. I'm the low man on the grow pole so I like to hear from the big guns...I keep hearing about grams per watt and how i'm not even close to what I should be getting...and its not that i'm so focused on how much I get (it may appear that way) I just want to do it right. I studied for 3 months before I ever saw a plant. I read every book I could find and came here. The people here helped me a great deal and I real appreciate all the feedback! What a cool community!

My only observation about GH Flora is that it was a little light in magnesium for me. I'd add epsom or Cal-mag to the arsenal. cn

Good advice I will do the Cal-mag next run.

Just take your time and dial it in. KISS!!

You might try the art of trimming.
You know how the plant grows, so next time trim off the lower bud sites and branches that you think will not get any light, thus the plant will focus it's energy to the tops.
Do this in the first 2 weeks of 12/12.

I am in a very similar situation, last grow I yielded slightly more than yours (22 oz) but everyone told me I could get 2 pounds and said the SCRoG method was the way to do it. I grow 4 plants in an undercurrent system with 1000W and CO2. I decided to try it out and it appears to be working, I will let you know for sure in about 3 weeks but here are comparison pics of my last grow (w/o SCRoG) and my current grow (w/ SCRoG):

19 oz is just fine for 1000 watts. Its over.5 gpw. Its def possible t get more but i bet your friends who are telling you this dont pull.9 gpw

Update! so I did a Rez change Friday night and hit them with the final faze of just bloom nutes, and added the powder kool bloom. They are swelling nice, I think one more week, them its flush for a week and harvest time!

Your geting a few ounces over a pound per light, tell your friends to show you there geting 2 per light lol

Looks awesome. Don't start flushing until they stop using fertilizer. If they are using fertilizer, they are still growing.
