I'm curious to see the answers here. On Tuesday night the complete right side of my wife's face became paralyzed. She couldn't move her right eye, nose, lip, facial muscles etc. She is 31 weeks pregnant. I called her doctor then rushed her to the ER where we sat for 4 hours. They diagnosed her with Bell's Palsy. She is 33 years old and in otherwise perfect health. Exactly one week ago from when this occured she got the Flu shot at the behest of her doctor. She's never had the flu shot before. A week later full blown Bell's Palsy. After researching endlessly the last 2 days I've come to the conclusion that the Flu shot gave her the Bell's Palsy. All the "official pharma research" shows not much of a connection. However when looking at forums of people with first hand experience with the disease there appears to be a definite connection. I however can not raise my concerns to her doctors because they'll just laugh and say don't believe everything on the internet just like drones of the big pharmies do. I don't know... part curiosity part ranting. Thanks for listening. Please do my poll and comment if you want.
My GF had bell's a few yrs ago. We think it was do to stress, her shoulders were super super tight... Her uncle is a physical therapist so he helped her a lot, in fact he rated her on a scale of 1-10 a 10 in muscle tightness... NOT GOOD!!! anyway she also went to acupuncture which she swears was awesome. She said she started getting feeling back in her face right away.
it took her about a month or less to be almost 100%.
have your wife get her back looked at, she might have a pinched nerve...? Is she overly stressed? time for calgone to take her away.
Hopefully she gets all her motion back, there are cases where ppl don't get all their motion back. You are both in my thoughts... good luck to you both...
stay high

Never got one. Sorry to here about the missus. Kind of surprised to hear a doctor would recommend a flu shot while pregnant.
this was the first thing that popped into my mind.
except i was wondering why she agreed to a flu shot while pregnant.

i just didn't want to sound like i was saying it's wrong
Apparently nowadays pregnant woman are put in the high risk group along with the elderly and are encouraged to get a flu shot. Her OB/GYN is the one who told her to get it and administered it. I don't know. Doctors have away of pressuring you and making you feel inept if you ask questions. That's basically what happened. Not sure. Gotta run to our birthing class. Thanks for the support all.

You are never FORCED to get any vaccine, of any kind, you can appeal to judges, get things notarized ect, the only time you're FORCED to be vaccinated is when youre in school or are in the medical field, nursing, rsp, doctor, ect
i signed a waiver so my 12 year old son wouldn't have to get the t-dap before starting school.

I've never gotten a flu shot and the last time I had the flu was atleast 15 years ago I don't even catch colds and I've been around plenty of sick people. last year my wife and kid had a cold but I never caught it.
Same here. Last time I had the flu was like 10 years ago and I work with the public.
Never had a flu shot.

I used to get a flu shot and the last time I did it was required by my college that I obtain one. Afterwards I ended up getting the flu and haven't had it in years. That shit isn't happening again.

There should be an "out" or a waiver you can sign. Then again, maybe not because you chose the private institution. If public, you have an out.

Yea, they wouldn't allow me to finish my registration without it. I needed that one and a hep c shot because I couldn't find my paperwork for when I had it when I was a child.

They wouldn't "allow" me to register my son for Jr High either. Guess what? He's a straight A student at said Jr High.

Not sure what your circumstances are but there's almost always an out if you stand up and demand it.

My immune system is a boss. I don't need them *coughs violently*. However, I have been fighting a cold for the past couple weeks.

Yea, there probably was. But I just figured I would just get it over with without raising a hassle about it. It was free anyway.

Free is rarely in your best interest in my experience.

And as for "hassle", i live for it :)
Sounds like my fiancee.. haha.
Just the other day we went to Walmart for some cat products, litter, food and such. She had a coupon for the litter and when we had made it to the checkout counter, they proceeded to tell her that she couldn't use the coupon. Oh man, she was furious. So we then proceeded to the customer service counter so I could wait for her to talk to a manager about how she wanted her 2 dollars off. WTF.. I was like, I will give you 2 dollars if we can just leave. She was like, NO! I want to use my coupon.

Nope never have and after all this menengitis BS goin' roumd i never will. How can we trust a government entity that issues dirty injections to the masses? After the first case they should have started their interrogations but didnt. Now its almost too late. This is the same government that supposedly cares. Government funded Dr's are a sham. We need a better health care system and this just proves it.

Sorry neo, this is a terrible thing that should never have happened. When my wife was pregnant thwy told her not to get any shots of any kind just in case there were to be any incidents. Keep that chin held high buddy, walk that straight and narrow amd let the stars guide your way...
