first time grow in my birds old cage ...12/12 lights

This is a bag seed.. its been growing for 3 weeks now

what u guys think? male , female?

how long will it take to start flowering on this 12/12 light schedule?IMG_5682[1].jpg

not bad for 3 weeks. doin good....should start showing sex up to 14 days after 12/12 was started. How long have you been on 12/12 again?

WEll... If any light is getting in there as it seems it is by that big ass gap in the PAPER that you have lined the walls with I would say around never and if it does it won't produce shit.

Is the box sealed completley off when lights off?

also, isn't it bad to use foil since the crinkled material has a tendency to create hot spots on on the plant? j/w

I guess the paper wont hurt but wrap the cage in tin foil outside the paper and tape the paper neat. With the foil on the outside will darken it and the paper will reflect.! DO NOT FORGET to get some sort of ventalation in the bottom. If you're talking super small scale but you still don't have to be "stealth" Just take a shoebox and cut "mouse holes" in them and match that mouse hole up to a hole in the bottom of a hole you leave at the botton of the cage in the tinfoil and the paper... Cut 2 mouseholes btw. The rig something up near the top of the same effect but with a fan (computer fan - like 3-12 bucks) PULLING OUT OF THE CAGE! That way you have a lightproof passive intake on a small scale. And it's gonna look funny as fuck with it all set up. O I'm high but cut the mouseholes in the bottom part of the sides of the box you only need 2 but you can do 3 with one on both small ends and one on one side of the long end of the box and you can line the long end up to the side. ALSO if you're worried about what it looks like then you A) have the wrong people in your house or B) don not have permission of who owns the house to be growing. A) Get better friends. B) Get permission or trash it. Growing without permission of the owner of the building is WRONG! This is a clear example that you cannot legislate morality. If you could you would go to jail for this and they would not. But we all know how that goes.

yes i started it on a 12/12 light cycle from when it was a seed (3 weeks ago)
and i cover the open side when the lights are on ... so its completely enclosed

i do not have a fan on it tho, but i will get one.

Not 'bad', but not as good as white paint, or mylar.

Sorry, the timeline I gave meant a week, and 2 1/2 weeks after putting them outside in real light.
Preflower (I don't know if that is right, but what I called it when I could first tell it was a female, not ball sack) looked like little clumps of couple or 3 white hairs sticking out, then they mature and actually start to look like something.When they get older, they start to swell up, multiply, and eventually they intertwine with each other and form the 'buds' you are used to seeing.

looks really good, make sure when the lights turn off she gets 150% darkness no light at all! or she will not flower and if i were you would start tying her down (low stress training) and maximize your cfl use, i wouldn't really worry about about the foil but cause you are using cfls they dont get to hot, but if you were using hids then yes foil is a big no no, but flat white paint would be better.. i hope this helps.
