Man throws spider at police, gets Tasered several times
The Times Leader (Wilkes-Barre, PA ) says: "A man was arrested on charges he threw a spider at a police officer investigating a disturbance ... [The man] was arraigned on four counts each of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, three counts of resisting arrest, and two counts each of terroristic threats and criminal trespass. ... Police allege he resisted arrest and had to be stunned several times by a Taser."
Eric says: Unfortunately, I have no information on any injuries to (or charges against) the spider at this time.

Turns out his 'mates' put the eel up his bum when he passed out drunk (hahahaha). Cheers guys! Medics said the eel devoured his bowels. Pass the sickbag.

The decision to allow a transgender 45-year-old college student who identifies as a woman but has male genitalia to use the women's locker room has raised a fracas among parents and faith-based organizations, who say children as young as 6 years old use the locker room.
The locker room at Evergreen College in Olympia, Wash., is shared with the Capital High School swim club and a children's swim academy, along with the students at Evergreen.
"The college has to follow state law," Evergreen spokesman Jason Wettstein told ABC News affiliate KOMO. "The college cannot discriminate based on the basis of gender identity. Gender identity is one of the protected things in discrimination law in this state."
But according to parents, the fact that the student has exposed her male genitalia, in one instance in the sauna, is cause for concern.
"[A mother] reported her daughter was upset because she observed a person at the women's locker room naked and displaying male genitalia," said a police report filed in September by a mother on behalf of her 17-year-old daughter.
The Alliance Defending Freedom, an Arizona-based religious liberties group, sent a letter to Evergreen College on Friday, warning it that the decision to allow the transgender student to continue using the locker room could put the school in jeopardy.
"The fact that this individual was sitting in plain view of young girls changing into their swimsuits puts you and Evergreen on notice of possible future harm," David Hacker, senior legal counsel, wrote.
The college has installed privacy curtains, and said it would not change its policy for now.

Carne, I don't think you understand how women are about their bodies. When using a facility I would think it would be common sense to use the facility for the 'real' sex you are, especially if you haven't had 'treatments'.
Just about any father of a teenage girl will think it is crazy to allow a person with a penis to watch his daughter undress and shower.
Edit: I don't think he is a monster. I just think he needs to use the proper facility

She identifies herself as a woman. Just because she is pre-op/non-op doesn't change her self-identification. From what I can tell, it's the teenagers watching her undress that's the problem. She's transgendered, not a pedophile. Why in the world would she be watching women undress when she sees herself as a woman and is attracted to men? Seems a little contradictory to me (and has the slight tinge of fear mongering). Can you imagine the uproar if she were in the men's dressing room and they knew she was transgendered?
I see a couple of problems here.
- This is a college. For adults. You're going to see some junk.
- The transgendered individual should have kept her junk in the trunk.
- The college should have made provisions earlier (privacy curtains).
- Why are children using adult facilities for swim meets and practices?
- Why didn't the college take this into account and set up separate dressing areas for the children?
She is not there to ogle the little school girls. Which seems to be the gist of the "uproar." That and religious bias. She is there as a college student using the facilities provided by the school just like anybody else.

Ok, I wasn't going to take this conversation to this place but... As a survivor of a violent sexual assault I find it offensive that a MAN would insinuate HIMSELF into a situation and place that HE clearly does not belong.
I would no more be alone in a locker room with a man and undress than I would fly to the moon. All it takes for this to become a full-blown issue is one sexual assault. When and if that happens I'll be allover that like white on rice.
How big is this man? What proof do we have that he is transgender? Are we to allow every man into a women's locker room just because he 'claims' to be transgender? Has he become chemically castrated?
Would you really be ok with your niece going into a locker room with a man you don't know. Remember you can't go in there and she is all alone with a naked man.

Oh, swim teams pay to use the facilities of a publicly supported colleges for training and competitions. That is not unusual at all.
