48% D to 46.8% R a day before the election.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2012-general-election-romney-vs-obama

578 polls this time..

Close, but Romney still trails significantly in the electoral college. 201 D to 191 R with 146 undecided and 90% leaning D. If Obama wins Florida and Ohio, it's over. Romney needs to take both of those states, plus North Carolina, Vermont and Wisconsin to win.

Here's an interesting outline;

512 paths to the White House

I just hope the voters are smart enough to clean house from the bottom up. Local, county, state, and federal. Stop the fucking GOP blockade.

I hope obama wins. Then we will have mitch mconnell coming out saying our goal is to deny the democrats a first term in 2016. I just hope the republicans don't block everything that comes their way. Even on things both sides can agree on. My gut is the republicans will still not cooperate. But if their goal is to block the democrats again for four more years, then where does that leave us. Who will they blame for the stagnant economy they are contributing to? Geee uh Obummer.

European news shows a statistical dead heat at 48 to 48.

Just so you know, and Obama is probably more popular outside the US than in it, incase you think it's skewed.

lol, vermont?

florida is likely romney. at least, i am predicting it wall fall to him by less than a one percent margin. and it matters not.

romney must win ohio, but won't. he has been getting more and more desperate with his lies about jeep lately. that is a loser move.

if romney doesn't win ohio, he will need to win a number of states out west, but will only have a realistic shot at colorado.

we will not be staying up late to see which way nevada breaks. this thing will be over once they call ohio and virginia for obama around 11 pm pacific time.

You see how the right is spinning this now? Now they are saying if Obama wins, it was because of sandy. Or Obama got re-elected on Bill clinton's coat tails. Romney wouldn't want to ride the coat tails of bush that's for sure. The republicans don't realize or fail to acknowledge that the public was so tired of their shit, they elected a black man. Also took over the house and senate, mind you it was a small lead.

But after the 2008 election, the republicans did what they do best. Smear campaigns, hate speeches, scare tactics. They are good at it.

not sure how much clinton will actually help obama, although i can say it would be unwise for romney to ride shrub becayse shrub was just down in the cayman islands for some speech or something. not great timing there, shrub.

but yes, the right is good at the smear thing. if i didn't know better, i would swear that being forced to buy insurance from a private, for profit insurer was akin to mao or hitler. such is the historical perspective of some.

That is correct, however that is not the reality
the tie refers to the popular vote
however when considering the electoral college and our messed up election procedures
Obama wins
That is the way we roll
Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000 but lost the election

It will be great to see the elections come to a close, but what an anti-climactic ending.

This election is like a porno. No matter how it starts out, we're all going to get fucked.

I takes a real leader to bring two parties together and it's sounding like the excuses are already starting!
Anytime either side starts introducing ideological policy, you're going to have decent, there has to be bipartisan ideas and leadership on both sides if government ever wants to get things done.

Bush was GIVEN the office by the SCOTUS which stopped the vote counting and made "chad" a permanent part of the American language.

See "Alternative Minimum Tax" - a gift from the conservative demi-God, Reagan. 1982. The GOP locking their tiny feet to get rid of the nigger has allowed this to happen. Read the news. Your next and immediate tax increase 31 December, will NOT be by any action started by Obama including Obamacare. It will be the AMT. After that hits we'll see how many dumbasses backing the GOPs bullshit the last few years approve of their "party".

And it is bullshit, pure and simple. Their refusal to budge on anything has allowed this deadline to creep up on us. The "no new taxes" party are allowing the biggest tax increase on the middle class ever felt in our history. They want the AMT as it disallows many middle class deductions which is an expressed dream by Romney!!!!!!!!

Dumb fuckers that promote the GOP.

Because of thinking like yours (democrats) we find ourselves in a political deadlock!
Why is there no mention of the democrats "budging" from you????
All they would have to do is pass the tax bill in it's current form, the way it was written!
