Which scenario would you prefer surviving against?

Other scenarios should be explored as well, like some kind of plague that wipes out 95% of humanity, war of vampires vs. werewolves, nuclear war, invasion by aliens like in War of the Worlds, attack of giant spiders, etc.

was a glock man until I squeezed my first springfield 13+1 and it is soooo smooth.. i would Highly suggest giving them a try if you haven't already.. it's the only .45 that shoots like a 9

For sure. I ended up with a ton of glocks in a trade a while back.
In a zombie apocalypse though... I would go glock 9mm. There is a reason why it is the #1 firearm used by law enforcement world-wide.

I'm a fan of the 1911 frame. Fits my hand and points itself almost. And the big slow shotgun boom of the .45 round is pleasanter than the small-dog bark of a nine. Jmo. cn

405-grain bullet at about 1650 fps. The recoil, even with the brake, slightly exceeds that of the .500 or a .454 loaded "hot". cn

nice. my most recent toys were just little guys. A polish makaro p-64, and a pa-63 (walther pp clone chambered in 9x18. 350 for the pair.

Because the 9mm frame can be gripped by people with smaller hands, you can fit more rounds in the same space as a .45, and the 9mm round is cheaper since it's a NATO round. Those are the primary reasons law enforement likes them, If you have the hands for it, a double stack .45acp is always a good choice. Bigger, heavier, slower rounds do more damage to soft targets at close range.

Just an additional note.... Have seen over and over at the range that when others are shooting with a glock it tends to jam up around 30 rounds or so... I still have never had a jam in my springfield.. I have also heard similar things from others as well that glocks tend to jam up on you when shooting a lot of rounds

9x18 Ultra is a cool odd little cartridge. The Europeans devised it to have a nonmilitary cartridge for civilians. cn
