Hey David, I checked out your link and those look pretty good. Did you get a chance to look at the link in my sig? I have lots of photos and both taken in LED lighting and regular lighting. I am now running 3 of the Solar Storms 400w, and holy shit do these thing put out some light. That Rhino grow looks like a pretty solid unit, maybe I will have to try one out one day as well. My last light was a 357 Magnum(not +) and overall it worked well, but the Solar Storm really blew it out of the water, I think that the 5watt diodes in the Solar Storms really made all the difference, wattage increase over the Magnum obviously did as well but the penetrating power with the 5w diodes is awesome. I believe that all the solid LED manufacturers will eventually got to 5w diodes, and eventually beyond that.

seems like every time i stop by this thread some "new" member is trying to push rhino leds? this is a thread to share info and discuss the technology not drive sales.

I own a few and trying to show what they can do? Fonarelli was asking about a good unit to buy, i offered a brand that was having a sale. Sorry, didnt mean to be so in your face. Haters, haters, haters, you are all a bunch of haters..... JUST JOKING!!!!! LED is for me, and thus I shall spread what knowledge I have, not saying anything about one particular brand, but an adapted growing style under LED. Scrog, Sog, LST, super cropping............ Word'em up!

No one is hating... We all use LED's. Prezdickie was just saying and "I" agree that EVERY time we check this thread ppl are pushing rihno LED's.. I use black star with great results but we don't push them we answer question about them.. It's all love round here!!! Happy growing fam!! bongsmilie

what are you guys thoughts on the stealthgrow LEDs? what type of fans do you guys use since its not needed with that much force to push air hot air or cool it?

Take a moment and have a look at www.kessil.com. I was given 6 H150's from the rep here on the understanding that I do a side by side test against first my 400's in my veg room, then test them against 2 of my 600's in flower.

If you have used them let me know I will add any comments I get in my test papers. This company is not only looking for good but are more intrested in what growers EXPECT the light to do.

So far 2 units are keeping up growth in my veg area against a 400 watt hid. Its quite amazing they are the size of a beer can, only 32 watts and holy fuck are they bright! But...Im getting ahead of myself, lets see what the finish yeild looks like.

Thanks now i found my fan!! they are very expensive yes thats what im thinking too.

Sir ganga ive heard the blue spectrum in leds lead to problem or something along those lines?

Too much Blue (or any wavelength for that matter) stunts growth. Plants use Blue light primarily for vegetative growth. I think what you read had to do with Blue light in combination with White LED's. White LED's produce a good amount of Blue light to begin with. Adding lots of Blue's on top of White's is like adding a bunch of salt to chicken noodle soup. There's already a shit ton of sodium in there, you don't need it.

That said, you may want to find out where those White LED's peak at in the Blue spectrum so you can fill in the Blue range with a few pure Blue LED's of a slightly different wavelength. Use White's as a base, then add Blue and Red to fill in.

Also, some "Deep Blue" can be considered UV (ultraviolet). These should be used sparingly. Too much UV can cause undue stress very quickly.

I've used Spectra LED, Blackstar, HydrogrowLED. All good LED except for Spectra, maybe because of first LED grow, but I did use those to close. Other two are great LEDs to veg and flower with. Now I/ve sold my spectras a long time ago, I also sold my blackstars and my hydrogrowled, also 3 different chinese knock offs, blackstar, magnum, apollo 8 on ebay. Because now I use cheap chinese hydrogrowled grow light, Cheaper then 1 dollar per watt Ill take it. IM able to get a whole bunch of these 210 TRUE WATT and 560 TRUE WATT look a like hydrogrowled that grow just as well. Been using those about to finish my first grow with them. Im not going back to high cost LED until the value shows itself. Until then chinese for me. Only one I would like to try is BlackdogLED Platinum XL-U Light 750 True WAtt 5 watt bulbs. But for the price of one of those, is the cost of my 4 chinese LED 560 TRUE WATT. SO take what you want from that, Im stuck on chinese LED for a while.

hey if you know what your doing and can get good use out of lights for less than a buck a watt good on ya! :) that was my goal.

Sorry to cause mini-drama about rhino fellas, just wanted to make sure all was on the up and up, i actually emailed the company a while back but cost of units and no fans put me off. i wonder what true lifespan will be without fans?

sir. ganga, get us some pics for your kessil experiment. their company always interested me. and the 350 models look tempting but i just dont know if forking over the cash for lights with such limited coverage area makes sense even if you could create an individual height selection for each plant its still one light for each plant...

My first LED was from them i.e. their store brand. I bought it for supplementing my HID light and it worked ok. However, it began dying (one row of LEDs at a time) within the first year. When I fully switched to LED a few months ago, I went with California Lightworks and am very happy with the results.
