  • In fiscal 2010 (the first Obama budget) spending fell 1.8% to $3.46 trillion.
  • In fiscal 2011, spending rose 4.3% to $3.60 trillion.
  • In fiscal 2012, spending is set to rise 0.7% to $3.63 trillion, according to the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate of the budget that was agreed to last August.
  • Finally in fiscal 2013 — the final budget of Obama’s term — spending is scheduled to fall 1.3% to $3.58 trillion. Read the CBO’s latest budget outlook.
No doubt, many will wish to give the credit to the efforts of the GOP controlled House of Representatives. That’s fine if that’s what works for you.
However, you don’t get to have it both ways. Credit whom you will, but if you are truly interested in a fair analysis of the Obama years to date—at least when it comes to spending—you’re going to have to acknowledge that under the Obama watch, even President Reagan would have to give our current president a thumbs up when it comes to his record for stretching a dollar.

Assigning the Stimulus package to Bush's deficit spending is a bitch move don't ya think? Even then, we had TARP and the stimulus added to Bush's budget and Obama is only spending 300B less? that's not good. Especially considering how much Obama has saved ending wars all over the world.

he also put iraq on the books instead of deeming it to be emergency spending.

Not sure what your point is, of course Bush cooked the numbers, as did Clinton, as does Obama. Obama's budget is counted as 2010 on. We are not fighting a war in Iraq, yet you cut Him slack because a war we are no longer in is now on budget? Look at Bush's budgets before TARP and the stimulus. Look at Obama's budget now without a TARP or stimulus (the FED's printing press doesn't even count against his budget) and try to make the claim that Obama has reduced deficit spending intelligently.

So you are complaining about this massive and monstrous ban that you don't know much about.
Which isn't anywhere near as bad as all the politicians who will vote for it knowing even less about it. I wonder how many BILLIONS of dollars of special interest greasing will be stuffed into this one?

I agree We should of never invaded AfghanistanWhat we should of done when we had the intelligence is Nuke the motherfucker and been done with it
You're aware Osama bin Laden is from Saudi Arabia, not Afghanistan?

You'd nuke Afghanistan because people from Saudi Arabia attacked the US and then hid there?

Another quick question...do you know who trained, armed and bankrolled Al Queda at their inception?

You're also aware the the Taliban are NOT Al Queda?

You know what bothers me?

The Democrats demanded a balanced approach to tackling the budget deficit.

The Republicans demanded more tax cuts.

We ended up with 400 BILLION more in spending than before they decided to cut the budget.

Neither side is your friend Cheesus. They sit in Washington and vote themselves pay raises while taking more and more of the money you earn to give to whatever the fuck they want.

The 60 billion dollar New Jersey aid package was so full of pork that the Republicans could not even vote for it due to the bad press.

The system is completely fucked up and we are all going to suffer. And the people depending on the lies of the government are going to suffer the worst when we hit the bottom.

And everyone is interested in pointing fingers, not fixing the problem.
