Is there truly a method that influences plants to be female?

ayy guys, starting a new project and Im wondering if there is a spray or hormone or something that makes plants more likely to become fem.

Ive tried searching for this, try it yourself if you wanna be a dick. Its a swamp of he say she say, non backed up opinions.

If youve tried something, and it seemed to consistently produce more females than you previously got, please share. Thanks:weed:

lol no shit? these projects are some reg seeds that Im throwing in pretty much 12/12 from seed. just tryin to help my odds

Well lets be real here. If environmental factors decided sex then there would be no need for genetic creation of feminised seed. But more blatant is the fact that since you can block copper with silver and cause a female to produce pollen and the pollen produced will only produce females this proves beyond argument that sex is genetically determined. If it were not then one would NEVER be able to produce fem seeds. Now environmental factors can cause the self preservation herm trait to expose itself but not produce "more females". There are growers, one very foolish breeder here that will argue this is not so. But they ignore the science and rather run with feel good mentality. If these folks would simply study some basic botany they would realize their foolishness. IE the above poster.

In producing and using fem seeds I have become very sympathetic to the idea that cannabis seeds have sex predetermined.
Fem seeds make female plants. That is pretty solid evidence.

you are both right. x y cromosomes dictate sex with fem seeds being most or all female cromosomes. regular ceeds are maybe 50/50 and CAN BE slightly influenced by perfect/happy conditions causing more females. an experienced grower knows this to be true and not just here say.

the experienced grower wants to THINK that it is working. But if it makes them FEEL better then whatever.

Ok, I studied a it of genetics back in the day.. I'll be simple ans straight to the point without nomenclature. Sex trait completely affected by environmental factors is a misunderstanding of back in the day hypothesis of transiston of how unicellular organisms differentiated each other as a result male and female (I think if I'm not wrong it may be of more influence to reptiles instead of plants). Yes, as for plants as we know most are hermaphrodites, however, for cannabis that's not the case.. Yes, there are hermaphrodites due to that female if not mistaken always carry two pair of sex genes due to survival DNA friend... In order to affect plants sex (well I think anything) you need hormonal therapy
