some of you may not know this or care but scooby gave me a $500 gift certificate to redeem with greners.com
he didn't have to do this. i don't know him. never met him.
i was thinking about what to do with it,looking at the website like a kid in a candy store really. then it occurred to me that i have a couple of friends that could really use some stuff. so i decided to pay it forward.
i just order 2 complete light packages and will give them to these friends and tell them Philip Christian wishes them well.
thanks again scooby, for being a real guy and for caring  :eyesmoke:

can we make this the "Good Karma/Pay it Forward" thread?

scooby has started the ball rolling, let's keep it going. i think he should be commended and recognized for his positivity and goodwill and this will be my way to pay him back.

tell us or don't tell us what you did to spread good karma and/or pay it forward.

try to come here every day. not for praise, but we will certainly rep you (i will anyway) but for yourself. i know it makes me feel good to do something for other people.

now let's get high :eyesmoke:

I called a woman a selfish asshole Saturday. She was sprinting to her truck, which was taking up 2 handicap spaces.

She seemed perfectly healthy to me as she sprinted to her truck which was not properly marked as handicapped.
"You selfish asshole."

She said "What?"

I replied "You fuckin' heard me", as I walked away.

I don't know how Karma will feel about this...but, it made me feel good!bongsmilie

We tend to have some crappy weather around here, & generally it will stick around & sock us in sometimes for weeks.
Every morning on my way into work (@ 06:00) I see the same (late) middle aged Mexican man walking from work at a fish cannery in his rain gear. Now mind you its poring & blowing 40 and his rain gear is just shredded & flapping in the wind. You can see he's getting hella wet & must be uncomfortable.
Last week I stopped by the Marine store & spent close to $ 200.00 on a good set of Grundens & simply stopped the next morning and offered him a ride to where ever he was going. We didn't communicate well, but he gratefully declined the ride, so then i simply handed him the rain gear.

He was extremely happy.

Made my day too. :-P

what if she'd have turned round and said she was the persons carer/ driver and was running back to grab some medication for example?

sometimes the handicapped thing is on the plate
Not this one. Not on the plate and not on the mirror.

She was in her twenties and was running in the snow.

The two handicap spots she was taking up were the two closesest spots to the store and all the other handicap spots were full.

If it was someone who was handicapped, it would have been different. She OBVIOUSLY wasn't handicapped...just a lazy bitch who didn't want to have to spent an extra 5 seconds in the cold.

This is tiny, but I was at the burgería the other day and I watched this guy gather three bags of food under his thumbs and three drinks in a triangle of fingers. I sort of nonchalantly timed my walk to the bathroom so i could happen to hold the doors open for him. He shot me a really good smile. cn

I too am guilty of this type of behavior.
Edit....yelling at people who clearly aren't handicapped. Not taking the spots. Thought I'd clear that up.

I tried to help an handi capable man with his overturned cart in a parking lot.
I misunderstood that he wanted no help.
He got bitchy and I was able to just walk away without expressing sympathy or anger. Small victory for us both
